I went into Ace about a week ago to get purple paint for my living room. I was helped by a male, who did a decent job but didnt bother to show me the color next to the swatch before putting it at the checkouts. I was never offered to see the paint before buying it. Luckily, it was the color I wanted. I went back to get mint green and black for my bathroom and this time I was helped by a woman. The mint was good, and the colors were swatched for me but the black was a gray color. I asked for it to be remixed with more black, which she did, but it still came out gray. We took it anyway because I figured if it wasnt to my liking I could use it as a trim or in another room. It ended up being too gray so I used it as a trim and went back to get black again, trying another type of black. Once again, it ended up gray but a bit darker than before. She didnt offer to remix it, she just said "It looks gray again." closed up the can and gave it to us. I asked my fiancé if we should have it remixed but by then the cashier had already rung us up. The cashier told us we could bring it back and get it remixed if it wasnt the right color. I brought it home, tried it, and it wasnt even near black. My fiancé took it back, had it remixed, and told me he felt rushed and they were rude. He came home and it was STILL a dark gray. He told me that she told him they cant make an actual black, and that it will just be gray. I figured, if you cant make black, why do you have a black swatch?! I also heard customers ask the woman mixing my paint various simple questions, to which she would reply "I dont know." or, "I think that would work." she wasnt very helpful to anyone, and was short. I am very disappointed with this store. Ive spent about $55 on paints, and couldnt regret it more. This place disappointed my so horribly. I will NOT be back, and certainly do not recommend this place to ANYONE.
