Wanted to buy a specific extension cord. Needed a total of 3 of them. Bought one at the Westland store which is closer to me. So I wanted to buy 2 more and the clerk said I could go to the Ypsilanti store. I waited while he called them and made sure they had them. After on hold for almost 20 minutes he said they did have them and they would hold the cords for me. I then drove the 20 miles to said store and asked for my cords. The lady at the register said she talked to the clerk and went back to get my cords. 15 minutes later she came back to say that the computer had said they had two but now they did not have them but had other cords that could work and to have a nice day. GREAT customer service!!!! I left without saying a word. I will not shop here any more.

I was not allowed in the store. I did my research and looked to see if pet were allowed in harbor freight. When I read the pet policies in the store, read people allowed to take their dogs in and when I took my dog with me to pick up tools for my father. That is when a person, who I assumed to be a manager, stopped me before I could enter the store in front of other customers coming and going. The presumed manager said that only seeing eye dogs were allowed in store and after I stated I had a read the pet policy online he said that the customers get "spooked" by dogs. I have seen dogs in the store before so now Im trying to figure out why I was not allowed to bring my Labrador with me. I have never been so humiliated.

I called this location today after being treated poorly by the Howell store manager. The sales person at this store was helpful and professional. He even gave me hints about having an item that I needed held for a longer period of time and pointed out a coupon for a nicer version of the item for the same price. This is where I will spend my money even though it is not as convenient as the Howell store. Thanks for the great customer service and I look forward to picking up my item this week!

They sell a lot of cheap made in China tools, but if your not using them professionally then they will work just fine, plus they give away a bunch of free small tools, usually something cheap like a flashlight of screw driver set, but still free. If you plan on using the tool everyday for hours at a time then I would suggest buying name brand, but I have not put the tools to the test so couldnt say how durable they are just its what I have heard from others.

i went there at 7:30pm today and there doors are locked there sign says they close at 8pm all the lights were on there was 3 or 4 workers i seen but wouldnt open the door so i look it up on here and it says they close at 6pm just wondering why if they closed at 6pm why they would still be there at 7:30pm ill go some where else from now on

Good place for cheap tools and the customer service is usually pretty good. They do have a tendency to just sort of point to where they think something is though. If youre looking for a tool that can just get the job done a few times, then this is your place. Most everything is cheap to buy and cheaply made.

Super cheap store for imported tools and other goodies. Decent selection of items you might not find elsewhere. Quality is well below any other store, but so are the prices. You get what you pay for. Great service at this location-friendly and helpful employees.

Cant beat the prices on most items. Tools are perfect for guys who wont be using on a job site daily, rather occasionally for home projects. Friendly employees and manager. Overall, great store.

I always liked harbor freight. The products they sell are not of highest quality but prices are definitely cheaper. Added to that are the coupons you get. Free stuff and 20% off coupons make sense.
