If I lived anywhere near this here...THIS would be the mall I always shopped at. Somerset is broken by into two sections. Somerset North and Somerset South. The North end is 3 stories and anchored by Macys and Nordstrom. There is a parking garage attached as well which is nice when the weather is anything but lovely. The third floor houses the food court and the second floor has the skywalk to Somerset South. Somerset South is two stories and anchored by Neman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. South is where you will find Louis Vuitton, Armani, Salvatore Ferragamo and other high end designer names. Somerset Collection houses many stores that are exclusive to the mall and the only ones you will find in Michigan. The décor is amazing. There are sculptures and fountains scattered all over the mall. There are no kiosks to be found which is nice as this keeps it classy and clutter free. The floor has marble and overall the place has a very high end feel and look. The skywalk that connects north to south has a moving floor so you can either stand and let the floor do the work...or you can act like youre in the airport and "walk" really fast. We did no shopping while we were here...but we did walk all floors and check out what this mall has to offer. Just walking the entire mall (and eating in the food court) took over 2 hours!! Its a fabulous mall...and the mecca for mall rats everywhere!

Imagine you walk into a Tropical Mediterranean paradise and you are surrounded by the top brands in the world. The experience can be described with Tall pillars, glass ceilings, Palm trees, floors made of semi precious stones, classy music softly playing as the sound of a trickling waterfall echoes in the background. The customer service is outstanding everywhere you go. Expect to spend a lot coming here because the store selection certainly caters to the luxury elitist experience. Get a $2.50 shoe shine at Nordstroms (dont forget to tip) and grab some of the best espresso around at the Nordstrom E-Bar. Very similar to the espresso I had in Paris, France. They hand-press and time their shots on one of the best machines money can buy. Walk through Restoration Hardwares Exquisite display of various dream home layouts, and schedule a design expert to create that perfect look from paint and accessories to sofas and beds. Easily one of the worlds most beautiful malls. You must see it. Worth traveling far and wide to experience.

I love this mall! Its very clean and offers a plethora of stores and restaurants. This is our primary mall before driving or seeking elsewhere. There is no riff-raff or unsupervised kids running around as you find in the other nearby malls or shopping centers. It is a very classy mall that attract professionals and classy individuals. My family and I come here frequently to walk, shop and dine. There everything from the affordable to unaffordable at this mall. There is a enclosed crosswalk which gives quick & easy access, over the main roads, to both North and South collections. In addition, this mall has many holiday and seasoned themed events for the entire family to enjoy. My family has made it tradition to get our family Christmas photos at Somerset. The santa here is very presented, pleasant and accommodating. The display and decor are just fabulous.

Great mall!! My wife and I love to come here, usually its just for the walking and ambiance. The mall varies in its offerings, always having a store for everyone. Given the malls location and demographics, goods purchased are usually sold at a premium. Besides that, there are often events taking place, certainly a place to be! The north section of the mall contains 3 floors with a Skywalk located at the 2nd level in the food court leading to the south section of the mall. You will find luxury fashion shopping here with the likes of Chanel, Gucci, Armani, to name a few. Starbucks and Brookstone are my stores though, as I love my tech and coffee!!

The Apple store at Somerset has the poorest customer service of all Apple stores. I drive 90 miles to get there-it is the closest one, unfortunately, and i have to leave my computer even though they promise it will be fixed in 3-5 days. It is day 7 and I still havent heard a word from them. I have called twice and nobody can tell me anything about my computer. Never mind, I bought the computer less than a year ago, I have had to take it to them three times already. So much for an Apple product... Here I am, still waiting to catch up on my video lectures, waiting for Apple to fix my computer, and waiting to drive another 90 miles to get it back.

I dont return things often but when I do any store at Somerset gives you big time attitude. I tried to return a shirt to Banana Republic.. the lady behind the counter was mean and wouldnt take it back. So I went to a different mall and returned it there. My wife returned a cream at Sephora.. same behavior. We bought a foot massager from Brookstone and it broke. I brought it in for exchange.. the manager was mean! Wouldnt take it back. So I called Brookstone corporate and they shipped me a new one free. Somerset is nice, but the people who work there are weirdos. So I learned to shop online and bypass this waste of time and energy.

This is my favorite mall in the Detroit metro area. The selection of shops is really nice, you can find anything from Lush to Nike to Madewell and Zara is coming too! Its pleasant to walk around, and is one of the few inside malls with natural light coming in, which makes the shopping experience much better for me. Stop by Beyond Juicery for a healthy snack or a fresh smoothie, or have dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen as a nice alternative to the traditional food court. If you are visiting Detroit and want to buy something typical, the Detroit Shoppe has a nice selection of items produces in Detroit.

This is the finest mall in the state of Michigan, with almost every store you can think of. There are 2 parts to the mall, with a wonderful indoor skywalk connecting the 2 sides, and it passes over Big Beaver Road, with moving sidewalks like major airports have. It is one of the busiest boulevards in the area. From Crate & Barrel to Macys, Nordstroms, William Sonoma, Restoration Hardware, Victorias Secret, to several fine restaurants (Capital Grille, Brio, P F Chang, & many more), this place has everything. The corridors & public areas are always wonderfully decorated, changing with the seasons & Holidays.

Theres a Chick-fil-A in the food court. Need I say more? Well, alrighty then. Somerset Collection is an uppity mall (Yes. I said it; Mall) filled with many uppity stores that sell many expensive things for uppity people. This is THE destination for those conspicuous consumers of means who, back in the 80s, were called "Yuppies" (Im sure there must be some new derogatory label we folks of lesser means use to express our petty jealousy but I dont know what it is), and also those of us who want to look like Yuppies but cant afford anything except Chick-fil-A.

The Somerset Collection is the best shopping that Michigan has to offer. It is a fine collection of the best high end shopping opportunities with world-class restaurants. I simply love the PF Changs there. I rarely purchase anything there as the prices are pretty high; however, it is great to walk around and people watch. I have also had the opportunity to eat at Brio and California Pizza Kitchen, and every meal has been impressive. During the Christmas season, the mall is beautifully decorated. Tip: Godiva is now selling ice cream cones!
