I have been shopping at Meijers for over 20 years and I am done with them. I have continued giving them opportunity, after opportunity to show they care about their customers. On any of my last 6 months plus shopping at the TC Meijer there are very few registers open and lines that force you to wait 30 plus minutes just to buy your food. Our last visit was a great example. We shopped and found everything and them the fun starts. We got in line with everyone else (i remember the days when you were next in line), only about 1/3 of the registers were open and it took 40 minutes for us to stand in line and finally pay. 40 minutes waiting in line is unbelievable and is nothing new. Meijers doesnt carr about their guest, just the bottom line. We will be taking our business to Luckys and to Olsens. Both bag our groceries, are friendly and always make sure we are next in line. I am disappointed in Meijers and I kept thinking they would step up, but for 6 months plus the TC Meijers has shown they dont care and waiting in line is just what you do. So, 20 minutes of shopping and 40 minutes waiting in line is done for us. On a side note, unclear why a store that has so many customers has so few bathrooms and toilets. And the toilets they do have are broken and dirty all day long. Happy to finally say no more and Luckys and Olsen will and do appreciate our business. Good by meijer

Great produce section, solid grocery section, sales can be really great if you are patient, have no brand loyalty, and pay attention to the fine print. I dont shop the non-food parts of the store (clothing, hardware, toys, etc.) unless I am in a hurry, since most of the stuff there is low quality, or good quality but over-priced. Back to groceries: I used to give them 4 or even 5 stars. Dropped down to 3 because of problems keeping my favorite items in stock. For example, the store brand diet cola was out of stock every week I visited for, literally, 6 months. For some reason they cant stock Jolly Rancher solid candy. Theyre doing a bit better lately, but the problem still isnt solved. Also, they have the typical supermarket problems with items not scanning the correct price. If you wait in line at customer service, and it turns out to be their mistake, they always offer to make up the difference. But, the Michigan scanner law says items that scan incorrectly are supposed to be free...well you can get your mis-scanned item for free if you keep at it but it takes a lot of work. It seems to me when I first started shopping there several years ago the items scanned correctly 99.9% of the time, which was noticeably better than the typical supermarket. This past year or so Ive seen about 2-3% scanner error rate, which I can live with, but they used to do better...

Not my favorite Meijer. Always really, really crowded. They seem to be the most busy grocery store. Thanks last time that I was in the store I was asking about produce with an employee in the produce section and the response was, "I dont know. Did you look in that section?" This patten basically continues through the entire store, they were out of 15 things on my grocery list. Most of these things were basic items like any kind of milk? Anytime I asked an employee they either didnt work in that section or just said they were out without even checking. Just seems like everyone is too busy to help customers. Lines are extremely long. Sometimes takes 30min -1hr just to check out.

Never again will I use the photo lab, it seems to do no good for anything other than ordering simple pictures that you dont mind being blurry. Paying over $3 for a blurry picture is too much in my opinion; they look clear on the computer but turn out badly. Also Ive noticed that theres not many employees around at any time, day or night. This past time I went grocery shopping, there had to be at least 10 items I needed that had nothing on the shelf in its place. I understand theyre probably busy but when I go back 3 days later to see if the product is back in stock, I expect some on the shelf, not as empty as it was before.

This place. You pretty much have to shop at Meijer if you dont want to be seen in Walmart but also dont want to spend too much either. The lines are insane anytime. I swear they dont hire exactly enough people so there is always a line. A long, slow, life-sucking line. Or self-checkout. Which will also have a line but the added bonus of having to scan your items 19 times on their crappy machines only to have to wait for the 1 cashier that is trying to help 16 people checkout at once. I will say that I think they have a lot of nice employees and Im sure the problems are at the corporate/manger level.

I went to a U scan lane to check out only to find I couldnt pay with three different cards. A cashier then took me to lane 11 which didnt work and also froze up. Im a mother of a toddler on WIC so just ended up leaving with that after 25 minutes. Much to my surprise on the WIC receipt it reflected a lower price than the item actually was so I paid for WIC items on top of it all. Just short of 4 dollars but Meijer really needs to get it together. I know I cant be the only one with this poor of an experience. Not the first time Ive been ripped off on WIC by them either.

Meh. Another big box store like the others. This particular store is re-purposed from a prior business, so the footprint & store layout is unlike most other purpose-built Meijer stores. If youre familiar with other locations, this can be a frustrating experience in finding what you are looking for. Traverse City is a popular destination, so a lot of folks shopping here are visiting or have relocated from elsewhere, leading to the crowded feel. Parking is tighter than Id like it. So for me, this is just one of those necessary shopping stops.

I like Meijer, my favorite store! But yesterday, among other days as well, the shelves werent properly stocked. It seems the least stocked, or empty, shelves are where there is a sale @ Barbie dolls, toilet paper, ice cream was my complaint yesterday. I also bought a 40# bag of birdseed, quite difficult for me to lift into the cart, being a Senior Citizen...no stock person to help, which is usual for most departments. One final comment, very rarely will a cashier help to put my groceries in my cart after paying for them.

Restroom is public, but use the north entrance one if youre a male that doesnt tolerate offensive odors well. Also, I remember when meijer had actual baggers and the flow was smooth. Yes, they saved money by making the cashiers do a poor job of bagging groceries. But the baggers of the past had it down to a science. It was art. Im currently on my second half of an hour wait in line, fto check out 25 items. Is ridiculous.

Bakery experience was atrocious. Extremely rude customer service from the young sales girl behind the counter. Made us feel we were intrusive. Didnt greet us, didnt smile. Sighed over and over. Also, out of buttercream frosting when trying to order a cake. Really, a bakery out of buttercream? Finally ordered at Walmart--cake was beautiful and very tasty, and the service was great.
