This place has been declining since late 2000 when Montgomery Ward left. I used to shop here all the time as a child and it wasnt that bad. Im surprised that at the turn of the millennium, the Southgate Shopping Center took a turn for the worst. Now Old Country Buffet left and Im not surprised to see by 2022 the entire thing is torn down and replaced with a Menards or somewhat.

There was a time when there were some great retsil stores in there then the economy tanked. Its not too bad now, theres a CVS, Planet Fitness, Bath & Bodyworks, GNC, HNR Block, All American Buffet, Downriver Gymnastics, Applebees, Chicago Uno Grill, Taco Bell, Buffalo Wild Wings, Chilies & Angelinas Mexican Restaurant.
