I went to about 20 jewelry stores in the greater Detroit area before picking J. Thomas for creating a custom engagement ring. Im an extremely particular person and knew what I wanted (Design, quality, experience) and J Thomas exceeded my expectations. Stefanie was very friendly and accommodating to me and my very long schedule to complete the ring exactly how I wanted. I took the time to review every little detail of the ring with them with multiple revisions and when it was crunch time on building the ring from the approved 3D design they still meet the very tight timeline and delivered on time! I was able to view many diamonds to select from, I reviewed the 3D CAD design several times, as well as the 3D printed model before casting (satisfying a very demanding engineer…myself!) They helped with securing partial financing, the ring’s insurance, and made the remanding payments convenient for me. Every employee in the store was very pleasant and friendly and the engagement gift and mailed card was very thoughtful and I would definitely give them bonus points on customer service for that. It was very hard for me to trust them on a custom design when they don’t have many pictures of completed pieces, but I’m glad I did because the ring came out absolutely perfect! So, I’ve attached a couple of photos that hopefully other can see, but they still don’t do the ring justice! The fiancé loves it, the family loves it, everyone is impressed by it! Highly recommended. I love this place! Just got engaged recently and for the ring my fiance and I were re-setting stones from his grandmothers ring. I stumbled upon J Thomas Jewelers on the internet and decided to just go check it out. We are on a super tight budget, and Stefanie and the rest of the crew were able to help us design a beautiful ring with a very modest price tag. They have been nothing but friendly every time Ive gone in since beginning the process and the ring was completely done in just over a week. I have referred several colleagues to J Thomas since, and all of them have come back to me saying they had just the most wonderful experience with these guys! We will DEFINITELY be returning to get our wedding bands there, and I would recommend J Thomas 10 times out of 10!!! :) Thanks for making a really exciting experience even more exciting (and easy on the wallet), J Thomas! :)

J Thomas perfectly repaired my engagement ring. I had an opal inlay fall out. My siblings recommended I take it to the Miners Den, and the Miners Den destroyed it. After taking it to J Thomas, everything was perfect. The ring was so beautifully restored I almost cried. They even repaired a deep scratch that I wasnt expecting to get fixed. Their repair pricing is also great. The Miners Den wanted to charge me more for their "repairs" than what J Thomas was charging for a full clean, polish, inlay replacement, and restoration. This was my first repair done here and now I only trust them with my fine jewelry.

Cannot recommend Tom and his team at J. Thomas Jewelers enough I stopped to see Tom because my wedding ring had become too tight over the years. I was concerned about any changes because of the inscription that had been there for 24 years! Tom took a quick look, and was able to re-size the ring while preserving the inscription EXACTLY as it had been! Plus the ring looks fantastic after a polish. Thanks for the great service, Tom - Ill be back!

I came here to do ring shopping for my now fiancé. The person who was there to assist was extremely helpful providing good insight and suggestions with what I thought my fiancé would like. The employee was also not a high pressure but showed great interest in finding the "right ring." Prices werent terrible and would suggest this as a stop for everyone to stop by at least once.
