after having an enthusiastic conversation on the phone with these guys, i took my fathers 40 year old stamp collection in, as well as several good-quality collectibles. when i arrived, they told me--politely but bluntly--that the collectibles were "junk" and "worth nothing" and then they took about 10 minutes to look at the entirety of the stamp collection and offered me $160 for it and acted like they were doing me a favor. i thanked them kindly, took all my stuff and left. six weeks later, with a little bit of patience and a lot of work on-line (both ebay and facebook), ive now sold the stamp collection for $2000, and about half the collectibles for $550. i think when im done with the remaining collectibles, ill end up with another estimated $750, for a total of $3500. $160 was their offer, versus the $3500 i earned. Do the math. What does this tell us ? what conclusions should you draw ? had i taken their very insulting offer, they would have flipped the stamp collection for a very handsome profit. Yes it was a lot of work, and yes it required research and patience, but i have 3500 dollars in my pocket, and they dont. Consider this before selling them anything.

I went into this store today and didnt like the reaction I received from this company. I had three or four items and asked to see how much they would offer me for them. I asked for a breakdown for each item. The employee wasnt willing to do this and only gave me the price for all the items together. He said that he had already started calculating and cant go back. I was in the store for all of five minutes and was the only customer. I would have thought he would have been willing to serve my request. I didnt feel welcome, I didnt feel wanted, therefore, they wont be getting my business.

I took my Citizen Eco Drive in with a broken crystal. The staff were all very polite and took the time to explain the potential problems that the smashed crystal may have caused. Two days later they called me to tell me that the watch was ready for pick up and the only problem was a broken crystal. The charge was very reasonable. So reasonable in fact that I offered a gratuity which was declined. It is really nice to be treated with respect and honesty. Kinda refreshing in this day and age.

purchased many gold and silver coins from these guys, and when I needed a new car deposit, I brought in 2 buffalo heads for sale, (gold spot was at $1190 an Oz.). I asked the guy at the counter for $1200 per coin, and was told I had a S*&T attitude, and thrown out of the store! Sold my coins to Abbots, and they offered me $1211 !! Never going here again.

I wud have given them 5 stars if it wasnt for one of the partners. The first time I went there I bought a lot from one of the partners. He gave me a great price n was very courteous n professional. But the next time I went another partner was there n he was very rude n unprofessional.

The people at Birmingham Coin & Jewelry are very nice to work with. They were willing to accommodate my special circumstances and I would recommend them to anyone looking to make a purchase or in need of an appraisal. They also offered the lowest appraisal fee.

I went into the store with my wedding band set and also my husbands ring, both rings are set in white gold and they have flawless diamonds. The guy in the store said he could only give me $650 for all 3 rings, what a insult. I will never go there again

We try to treat all customers with the respect they deserve.I wish they would have brought it to my attention since I am the only one that could address the problem.
