Goldner Walsh is simply the best! From the first time I walked in the door, I felt at home and have continued to go back. The welcoming environment, the staff (and the help they provide), selection, fantastic landscape design, as well as the generous contributions and events within the city of Pontiac (as well as surrounding communities) make them #1 in the Detroit-metro area! I recently moved into my home that needed a significant landscape overhaul. The previous owner significantly over planted the yard with a random collection of plants that made my yard look like Disneyland on steroids. With all the work that needed to be done on the inside of the house, the last thing I needed was a yard that had more stuff in it than my garage and basement combined. There is no way that I could have had the vision to sort out the clutter of plants to make my landscape manageable and enjoyable. I met the owner, Tim Travis, who not only was able to identify all the trees and shrubs, but he was also able to explain how to use what I have and rearrange them in a tasteful way that transformed the entire exterior of my home. He was hands on during the whole project and was very responsive to my ideas as well to make my landscape perfect. His crew was amazing and very professional. You can tell that they enjoy working for Goldner Walsh based on the pride of their work and attention to detail that they show on the job. The company clearly knows just as much about design as they know about plants. This is my first home and never knew the value of a landscape done well. I was so lucky to work with a company with so much talent and experience! Thank you Goldner Walsh!

My biggest wedding regret is that I had faith in GW to be my flower vendor. They were hopelessly unorganized and severely lacked professionalism. They forgot to bring my sample wedding centerpiece to my wedding rehearsal dinner. On my wedding day they forgot to bring the arch we were supposed to be married under. Their excuse was that it was never in the contract that I signed, which was a complete lie because they never even provided me with a contract in the first place! The wedding centerpieces were wrong and had to be quickly tweaked before the guests arrived. I found out how much the flowers cost 3 days before the wedding! I had to contact them to find out the costs, too. All of my other vendors provided me with their estimates, in writing, well before the event. After all of this I never received an apology. They became very defensive when these issues were brought up and immediately blamed me for not staying on top of them. A direct quote from an employee was, "We are a small company. We dont do weddings every week". It really shows. I wish I would have gone with a florist that was more experienced with weddings. I am still in disbelief over what poor service they provided us with. They are too scatterbrained to provide quality service for a large event.

I ordered flowers from 1800 flowers this morning to be delivered to a friend - the Splendid & Sweet arrangement. I know 1800 flowers uses local florists, and your business is who they used (my friend just sent me a picture of your business card that was included). What was delivered was BEYOND pathetic. What she received looked absolutely nothing like what I thought I was ordering. The only thing you got right was the container. Im so disappointed and embarrassed for what she received - I cant begin to put it all into words. Im attaching a picture of what I THOUGHT would be delivered (on the left) vs. what you DID deliver (on the right). I will never use 1800 flowers or your shop again. I have sent a complaint to 1800 flowers as well asking for a refund because looking at the end product, I fully deserve it. I could have gone to Kroger myself and put together a better arrangement than what you did. Judy - Pontiac, MI

I never write bad reviews because people have bad days and things go wrong. Having said that my son bought a wrist corsage for his prom date and it fell apart as we were taking pictures. By the end of the night it was gone. So I called just to tell them about it and the women that answered phone told me : well next time he needs a corsage they will do a better job and maybe he will get it for free. He most likely wont need another wrist corsage because it was senior prom. And I didnt want my money back I just thought I would relay the message but she didnt seem to care. She couldnt get off the phone fast enough with me.

There is so much to love about this little business. Creative & trendy selections in the flower shop, yet rustic and earthy feel to the nurseries. They host tons of great events, & staff are super friendly. Ive had the privelage of working with them on my personal garden as well as in business. One thing many people dont know is that the GW nursery space can be rented out. Its a truly unique venue. Ive been to a fundraiser party & concert here and it was unforgettable. They also host weddings, lectures, charity events, etc.

Goldner Walshs commitment to revitalizing Pontiac, including the Saginaw Green project, affirms that the venue for our wedding is so much more than simply a location. Tim Travis and all of the staff are wonderful to work with - personable, down to earth, and responsive. Not to mention that the venue itself is beautiful!

Absolutely LOVE Goldner Walsh! Nobody has the plant, pottery selection and atmosphere that they do! I bought my best blooming climbing roses there. Special shout out to John: if you need expert advice on any of the house plants, hes your guy! If you want an immediate mood booster, stop by in the middle of winter. . . youll be happy & remember spring planting is right around the corner!

Antoinette was amazing at helping me with my long distance flower order. I have a beloved family member who is at a Assisted Living home in the Alzheimers wing. The Assisted Living home instructions were to only send "edible" flowers to the Alzheimers patients. Goldner Walsh made a beautiful arrangement with only edible flowers! Excellent customer service with a heart. l

Im new to the Oakland County area and was looking for a greenhouse. This place blew me away! From the street you cant tell how big it is, but it just seems to keep going! I would have been happy just walking around, the grounds are gorgeous. The vegetable plants I bought this summer are doing phenomenally

The customer service I received when I purchased a custom arrangement was outstanding. The arrangement was beautiful, the flowers were so fresh that it literally lasted for 13 days before my fiancee turned the remaining flowers into potpourri. 5 stars!
