I was shocked to see 3 poor reviews for MBS! I went there after less than average service from a few local places in Mad Heights, Clawson and Royal Oak and was enthusiastically greeted by the owner and shop runner. My experience was that he was fair, willing to compromise and very helpful. I went in there as I was passing on a bike ride. I needed a tune up, new tires, and one of the rims were bent. I was about $20 short the cash that he would have charged so he gave it to me anyway. After that, I referred 2 friends there who had equally wonderful experiences! He does pick up and deliver and you dont even have to ask. In the meantime, MBS has been brought up in conversations with clients at work and I have yet to hear anything short of very pleased! The only negative is they arent overstocked on supplies there may only be one or a few parts of each. But thats small business! He is always willing to order the parts if they arent in and pick your bike up to do the repair.

This business also works with mopeds. I went there for a tune up on a 40CC moped I got. Everything was fine on it besides the flat tire, it just took awhile for it to start and struggled to stay running. The owner said he will look at it. He called me later and said it needed a new carburetor. So I thought cool this guy knows what hes doing. I said sure put that in. And when I picked it up it was running great. [because it was already warmed up.] After a week later I seem to be having to same problem getting it started. It would start, stay running for a min or two then die off. I had to do this routine for about 30 min before it would hopefully stay running. I feel the owner took me for a sap and didnt respect me at all because of my age. Im out about 300$. Should of realised when he told me the cost.

Pros : They rent bikes. Pretty much everything they have on the floor. Good variety of entry line bikes. They can customize the bike you are renting with the seat you want, even lend you tools & helmet with the bike. Cons : The place looks like a pawn shop. No high end bike, parts or accessories. Random opening hours. Call before you go. Bottom line : Not what I would call a professional bike shop. To avoid if you are looking for quality products. Good place to shop if you are looking for a used bike.

ok, so i have a Schwinn protocol, its been there about 3 time and they fixed nothing. in fact they stripped my petal, put some of that jbweild stuff. now when i decided to do it right, guess what? the entire crank was messed up. and when i called and asked for a crank puller, they were conveniently out. oh well, con art in is raw form

My husband bought our bike to the shop on 7/29/2017 and they gave my husband the best service. They oiled and replaced the brakes and also recommended the perfect bike racks!! Will definitely recommend them to my friends

rip off paid to fix gears ,still had same problem before i left store told him and he said what do you want me to do,i said fix it cost 40 dollars more to fix original issue DONT GO TO THEM

Con artist. Purposly will malfunction a good working part on your scooter to bring you back. They adjusted my idle screw so it will start but die when you turn the throttle. Scam!!

I use these guys for older bike parts, and when I fix mid level older stuff for friends. Lotsa old stuff, like a garage from 30 years ago.
