I always go to this store because they treat me like the neighbor that I am. The produce isnt very good but the meat is usually delicious. I am going to give up on this store as Im being ignored more & more at the meat counter. The deli counter is great but when I am the only one at the meat counter & no one of 3 people will wait on me, I have to consider other options. I waited today while one man waited on a lady. Three other employees were doing other things. I stood waiting as the lady picked out 3 separate things & the employee weighed, wrapped & handed her the items. This took at least 3 or 4 minutes. I was the only other shopper. But now, other shoppers started showing up & finally another employee stepped up and asked if anyone had a number & waited on someone that clearly walked up way after me. I was told I didnt need a number as I was the only one in line! This is crap & I dont really feel like a neighbor any longer! The check out guy couldnt care less about my concerns yet he asked if I found everything I was looking for. Yes I did - I found a reason to shop at those bigger stores after all.

Store is friendly enough, and their prices are about average to Krogers, but often falls short on details. For example, they put in a new machine so you could buy lottery tickets. Oops! But they forgot to tell you the machine does not issue change, so a $20 to buy a ticket turned into either walking away or getting $19 more than wanted lottery tickets. They lengthened their hours to 10PM on weeknights and Saturday. But they forgot to tell their managers as the doors were locked when we got there at 9:36PM (Oops!) Their store was open but *both* bathrooms were out of order. Or so they claimed. So where do their employees go to the bathroom? I think they closed both their bathrooms for other than "out of order" reasons, but couldnt be bothered with fixing the problem. Ive found a better substitute in Value Center (14 Mile and Campbell). Their friendliness is OK, and their prices are better, and they are open till 10PM. Plus youll save yourself the grief of not expecting standard service and being disappointed

Hollywood Markets have been my neighborhood "go-tos" for many years. My appreciation for their quality and variety is not new. Just within the past week, however, Ive received personalized, creative care at the Madison Heights store on John R. Connie and John in the butcher department have consistently treated me like a Queen Diva. One example: When the chicken breasts were on a stunning sale, they prepared a large quantity for me, filleted into cutlets and individually packaged for my freezer. Then, just yesterday, Kim in the deli department created a huge, gorgeous fruit tray, swapping out one of the melons for beautiful pineapple. It was for a huge family BBQ, and was a big hit. Theyve taken a longstanding customer, and made me a grateful fan!

The last few times I have gone to the Madison Heights store, they seem to have a ton of teenagers working there and apparently the manager forgot to train them not to act like totally immature idiots when they have nothing to do. Some were standing out front smoking and just acting totally stupid and immature of which to me does not represent the store very well, Them some inside were acting like, well, I think like pretending to be a cashier. If the manager is going to hire these teenagers, train them better than this or hire older people that could really use a job and don;t waste it on these children. I will probably not be back to this store but go back to the Troy location and hope for the best.

I swing by here a lot on my way home from work if Im lacking an ingredient or two for dinner. What I LOVE most about this place is that they are FULLY STAFFED. Ive never had to wait in line to check out or use the self checkout lane. Employees usually ask me if Im finding everything ok and are always friendly and willing to help me locate something. Products are a bit limited, so I know for instance that I wont be able to buy morning star breakfast patties here, but oh well. Customer service is always spot on and its a very friendly "home town" grocery.

I go to Hollywood Market 1.) to avoid supporting a mega supermarket, and 2.) for the friendliness of the employees (something you certainly dont get at Meijer or Walmart). As of late, however, the employees have been rather rude and unhelpful, which is half of the reason we shop there! I write this not in hopes of deterring potential customers, but in hopes of management improving the store so we can continue to shop there before seeking alternate options.

Whats up with this place? Ever since the Kroger opened up a block east of here, its been slower here, but they do have a great deli counter and meat counter and bakery, thats better than most places. Yet somehow I notice, my last few visits some of the employees there are less friendly, unhappy and dont care. I think by not treating what customers that still shop here good, will be the end to this place....

I went into Hollywood for a few things. I went to the counter where they had the liquor & lottery. I stood there waiting to be helped but none of the employees came over so I walked away for a few minutes. Walked back & seen an employee helping a customer. I ended up getting my tickets. There needs to be a bell to ring that way an employee will know people are waiting. .

Like all of the other Hollywood Markets I love their old fashioned Butcher counter, this store is probably twice the size of the other on Main Street. However it seems that do not offer as the Main Street does their "daily specials". Less baggers at times too. The best all time cashier is Karen who stayed on after Farmer Jack closed and Hollywood bought this locale.

Excellent meat market. If you go around the outside aisles of the market youll find good quality produce, baked goods (especially my favorites - large donuts), extensive deli, hot to go foods, fresh fish, dairy products, cheeses, yogurts, breads (including artisan type by the deli counters), more ice cream brands than should be allowed, and fast friendly check outs.

I love the 12 and Campbell Hollywood Market! The people in the bakery are the best and frequently give my kids full size cookies as "samples" (dont worry, they always discretely ask my permission before offering). The deli staff is great. The meat counter is amazing. Everyone in the store is friendly and courteous.

Very good local store. Things may be a bit pricey; but the butcher there is one of the best in Royal Oak, and the quality of food / produce is very high. They are constantly getting awards for the best local grocery store chain in the news papers; so they must be doing something right

Good variety of food. Meat department is excellent with very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Seldom ever have to wait in a line. Very friendly staff. This store is also kept neat and clean. I will pay a few more cents for some items to receive the great service that this store has !
