Never really shop at Meijer but when I do its never good. I work at night so when I come to shop its after 11pm. So tonight I decided to skip Walmart and come here..... Empty wooden pallets in the middle of the isles, three people standing at the entrance and two of them are having a conversation, probably 4 workers stocking shelves and other products in the middle of the isles that were left unattended, two lanes open and I believe one was a 12 item or less that had a lady with two full carts like she just bought the whole place and a handful of coupons. The other line had about 7 people so no matter what I was going to have to wait. I decide to go to the self check out and only 1 out of 6 was on and they told me they were gonna turn it off after the gentleman I let go in front on me was finished (he only had three items, I had about 10). I decided to leave, and who locks up the electronics department?!?! I wanted to get a movie or two and couldnt.... I wont be shopping here anymore.

There was a lady in the store with a small dog in her purse. I am disabled and use a service dog. This ladys dog started barking and lunging, while my trained dog ignored it. I have had several small dogs attack my big service dog in settings just like this, where her dog was not allowed and she brought it anyway. Your staff needs to be more aware and make people with pet dogs leave the store. You are lucky that dog wasnt able to get to us because you would have had a huge lawsuit if that dog had caused any harm to mine. Not to mention not removing the lady and animal is against several health codes and federal laws. I am disgusted this happened. And to all the general public, STOP TAKING YOUR DOGS IN STORES. I WILL call you out on it and bring it to a managers attention and if your dog harms my medical equipment in any way, I will come after you for all youre worth, record the incident, and post it all over social media to shame you.

The store is very conveniently located for me so I use it every week, it is usually pretty clean and organized, however the staff on occasion do seem to be hanging around chatting or too busy with something else to notice when you need assistance at the self checkouts. The entrance doors have had many problems over the last couple of years, often having one of them broken for a month at a time, same with the conveyor belts on the self checkouts, with some of them not working right. All in all though I love this store, the convenience of having it a short drive from my home, having a bank located in the store as well as the pharmacy and the fact they have a small but very welcomed world food section (other than Ackroyds Bakery I have a hard time finding British food items anywhere) also with it being located so close to many other popular stores and restaurants it makes it a really useful store.

One stop shopping is great. I can get groceries and stuff for my home. This is a decent, clean store, always well stocked. The employees are not overly friendly but they are friendly enough. I would never shop here on the weekends because its busy but when I shop early weekday mornings, it is nice and quiet. Even later in the day when it is busier i can usually self checkout pretty quick even with a cart full of groceries. Even though they are privately owned, I will still choose Meijer over Walmart any day, as the prices are comparable. They have a good selection of organic produce and their own line of organic products, plus I can always find new products usually before I see them elsewhere. . I wish they had a better reward program, like kroger or target, because I never get any mperks money off my bill.

Meijer is the best thing going on with general shopping under one roof! The prices and select this morning for watermelon was best of the year. I hope it tastes good too. I went especially to buy some Meijeir brand Cherry coffee. Problem was it took a long time to get some one to show me where the bags were for the beans. Then when I tried to grind them the grinder was broke. Tried to get a man in coffee section to help but he couldnt get it to work either. A bad situation for you and me. Now I gotta wait another week. Please stop asking me if I had a perfect experience at your store. Thats a HIGHLY ARROGANT question to ask someone especially at checkout when all of us disabled people are trying to get home.

This is the WORST Miejer store to get sale items! Shelves are EMPTY by Monday morning, the second day of sale, and remain empty on ALL SALE ITEMS throughout the week!!! Therefore, unless you go 6:00am Sunday morning when new ad breaks & items become available, you will not find them in stock!!! When sale ends... the items that were on sale magically appear on shelves for sale at FULL RETAIL pricing. I DREAD SHOPPING HERE!!! In addition, checking out is horrible as well -- Store has ALL self checkouts open, while your lucky to find 2+ humans to scan & bag your groceries that your paying for! The store is filthy as well!!! Go to Northville, or Wixom where these stores have sale items in stock!!!

Im literally shaking Im so grossed out. I just cracked open a jar of Meijer pasta sauce unexpired as well as unopened and kept at room temp...Guess what ? It had a big old slug in it....I kid you not! After I poured the can of sauce over my meat, I was wondering what that big fatty slimy thing was...I pulled it out....And yep its a slug. The last picture I rinsed it off. You know those tons of posts about people finding bugs, glass, pills, or rodents in food or dog food? Yea I never thought it would happen to me!... So note taken, dont buy Meijer brand anything! Im so grossed out, I threw up at the thought that I almost fed this to my kid. Im beyond furious. I dont even know where to begin

In general, I like Meijer as a store but I do not care for this particular store. It is the closest to my home (only about 1.5miles) so I end up there out of convenience. Unfortunately, they are often understocked on the items that I am looking for (fresh herbs, chicken, etc). The organic produce is extremely limited (often with common items like apples and berries not even having organic options), on multiple occasions they dont have any skinless chicken options, salads are often within 2 days of expiration. Ive started going to the Meijer/ Trader Joes in Northville even though it is out of my way.

I stood at the meat counter for at least 20 minutes waiting to be taken care of while the only meat counter employee walked around outside of the display talking to another customer and then instead of coming to help me, she decided that it was time to check the prepackaged meat instead of helping me. I simply needed one God damn chicken breast for tonights dinner but instead I was ignored. Thanks for making me drive this far in the cold to "the good meijer" just to be ignored. Never shopping here again.
