We originally got our wedding cake from Second Floor Bakery. It was a delicious cake. So for our one year anniversary we wanted to recreate it. But this new company bought it out. They said that their recipes were different, but very good. So we went ahead and ordered. We were so excited about that cake for a few weeks. Then we got it. When attempting to slice it we realized the density was much harder than before. Then the filling was a paste, not the jam like before. The flavor and density of the champagne cake was more like bland banana bread than cake. And the filling only had a hint of strawberry. It was dense and bland. We never would have chose them for our wedding cake. Very disappointed. We actually returned it so they would know how dissatisfied we were. We were promised a call from the manager to discuss a possible refund. It has been four days and no one has called. I guess we just learned a $28 lesson.

2nd Floor Bakery in Holland just did our wedding cake this last weekend and they were absolutely amazing. The cake was beautiful, exactly how we wanted it and it was so good! Everyone complimented how great it tasted. The cake was delivered on time and was very subtle; I hardly noticed she was in and out! We ended up having cupcakes as well so we did not have to go up a tier which turned out great. My husband even had some of their cookies from the bakery which were fantastic. We would recommend them to everyone. Good prices, beautiful and tasty. :)

The service is great & everybody is super friendly. The cakes are decorated beautifully..... but the quality of product is very poor. Their cake is dry & the frosting was disgusting.....it was all gritty & felt like I was chewing sand! I guess if youre looking for a beautifully unedable centerpiece, then this is the place to go!

We ordered custom cakes from Second Floor Bakery to give out to our customers. We were blown away at how creative and fun they were. You guys did such a great job with presentation and the customers kept asking where they came from, sooo delicious! Thank you for making us look good..

I have used them before and gotten great service when I come in. But when I request information on -line I get no response. I dont suggest this as an option. I am disappointed that they offer this as an option and dont respond to it.
