I have never had a good experience coming to this place and if anyone can give me the name of someone else to work on a yamaha, please feel free to respond. I have had it here three times and all three times long time frame in the repairs. I had my bike picked up on March 19 2015. I finally called on April 16, 2015 because I hadnt heard anything. I realized its the beginning of the season, and I procrastinated, so I never called giving them a month to work on my bike. I realize I am not the only customer Macomb Powersports has. I got the response "I was just going to call you, your bike is ready" I asked what was wrong with it. Dont ride in the rain was there answer. The problem is bogging down in the rain. I was frustrated with a 180 bill and no answers. I rode the bike in Tennessee in torrential down poor and never had the issue. Nothing has been altered on the bike since then. I gave up and went to pick it up and it was dead. Dead at the dealer. So they said come back in a half hour and we will put it on the charger. I go back 2.5 hours later and nothing has been done...then come to find out, they put an unauthorized oil change on my bike and didnt solve the main issue. The women behind the counter glazed over and looked uninterested in my problem. I was so mad by the service i went back to the car and calm down. I finally decided to go back in and contact a manager. The manager was apologetic that my bike had been there a whole month, and refunded the 180 I paid and said they were going to put it on an analyzer or something like that. I am wondering what the heck they actually did to it in the month they had it. Said my bike would be done in a week. Dont get your bike worked on here unless you like your bike to be sitting and like being treated insignificant. The manager was the best part of the visit cuz he cared. I really felt like because I was a women, they could walk all over me and I would have to trust what they said was wrong. The mechanic said that they couldnt get it to recreate what the problem. Glad I was worried i might be stranded. That was a complete waste of time taking it here. Dont do it.

Im currently thinking about the 2015 motorcycling season and though Ive purchased a 2013 CBR 600 RR {and love it} ...Im considering a 2015 Honda VFR 800. I was looking for the hours of operation for tonight but cant make it so itll have to be tomorrow. BUT you can bet that Ill be shopping at Macomb Powersports!! I cant believe some of the negative "reviews" on Macombs web site. I live in Troy and have access to "other" motorcycle sources and HAVE purchased from them. My buying experience at Macomb was the BEST Ive EVER experienced in buying a motorcycle. So much so that I will NOT go elsewhere! Even all of my servicing requirements are performed there with MUCH satisfaction. Im COMPLETELY satisfied... not just "very"... but COMPLETELY. I will be back there. Macomb Powersports isnt even "convenient" for me to get to and Ill still only go there!! Readers be advised from a person that has owned MANY "bikes" over the years as I have owned over 20+ .. .Macomb Powersports is professional and these "reviews" ARENT from them... theyre from people that felt compelled to voice their opinion just as I am now 16 months after my purchase from Bruce Baron there in sales. I met the whole staff as mentioned in some of the reviews. All professional and knowledgeable!! Its YOUR choice as a perspective buyer as to where you decide to purchase your "unit" from... but take it from someone whos bought a LOT in the last 30+ years of BUYING, you could do FAR worse. But its your "choice". I know where my business loyalty belongs and they DESERVE it. Just wish they were a little closer for ME ! P.S. For the record, I currently own a 2005 VFR 800 Interceptor, A 2007 Goldwing, and the aforementioned 2013 CBR 600. See you on the road!! Oh... Macomb PWR has ALSO changed tires for me and Ive had absolutely NO issues... thought youd like to know! :~)

Myself, family and friends have been shopping at, and buying from, Macomb powersports since 1984. I shop, and investigate, any big ticket purchases to extreme levels and have always found the best service, support and prices here. I knew the dealers invoice price on the last new motorcycle I bought here before I went in so I knew the highest price I would offer. I sat down with the sales manager and the price he worked up was $1000.00 lower than I would have asked for! The stores owner Bill, an honest guy with good business integrity, isnt always on the premises but he monitors every transaction. Highly recommend anyone looking for products offered here and elsewhere look here last because if you look here first you wont know their deals are better than the other guys. You can always find lower prices online and in catalogs but remember they dont have light bills, qualified employees and service counters to pay for. When Im handing someone money I want to look him in the eye.

I took my yxz1000r in for its first service and the job was completed well, however, my machine was dirtier than when I dropped it off. One of the service guys apologized and that was good enough for me at the time. When I got it home I noticed that the alignment of the bed was off (the plastic was forced into place so the screws lined up). That combined with having to clean my machine again put me over the edge and I called to speak with Lloyd the owner after reading other reviews and seeing he took the time to comment on them. He apologized and offered to have a technician come out and fix it or do something else to rectify the issue. He did rectify the problem by giving me the oil and coolant I needed for my raptor 700. Lloyd came across as a genuine and sincere guy whos first priority is customer service and for that reason I will continue to do business with Macomb Powersports.

Their service is terrible. I purchased new tires and had them installed. After leaving my bike was howling. I called and they said it was nothing but new tire sounds and I should ride it until it stops. I tried to tell them it wasnt but they assured me it was. I got home (10 miles) and realized that my chain was so tight I couldnt even move it. I called them and they blamed me for the failure because I didnt check their work before I left the shop. Also, somehow in the time that my bike was with them my rear wheel mysteriously became bent. They also sold me "New" tools that were previously used and incomplete. They are rude and accusatory. They staff usually seems disinterested and acts like youre interrupting them or wasting their time. Ive given them the benefit of the doubt 4 times and have had a new bad story each time. Not again.

Just had my 2015 Yamaha R1 transmission recall completed at Macomb Powersports and I couldnt be happier. As all of us R1 owners know this was a huge job that required the engine to be removed from the bike and almost completely disassembled in order to put in the new transmission. My R1 was returned to me in PERFECT condition. There wasnt a scratch on it and it was showroom clean. I have read on a few R1 forums that the bike shifts better with the new transmission and it does, especially with the quick shifter on. For those of you out there who are still looking for the best dealership to complete this recall, I highly recommend Macomb Powersports. Their service department is top notch and they obviously have the best technician in the area for the trans recall. I will no doubt be a life long customer. Thanks again!!
