Our two and a half year old son had an eye lid that was dry, flaky, itchy for many months and we tried everything that his regular pediatrician advised (aquaphor and neosporin). Finally I realized a specialist was needed and was recommended to Dr. John Roarty by a family member. Dr. Roarty prescribed an eye ointment with a steroid in it and the eye healed within 24 hours! SO HAPPY!!! It was possible eczema on his eye lid. The actual ointment was "Baush & Lomb - Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates and Dexamethasone Ophthalmic Ointment USP). Since it was our first eye appointment it was a bonus to know that our son has excellent eye health otherwise since they did the entire check while we were there. Everyone in the office was kind. While waiting the kids were able to be entertained with a big 4 foot tall plastic play house in the waiting area. They had such a good time and it was different than other offices. While our son was being checked, the doctor was so amazing with his words by saying... "Im going to show you a flashlight that I have... say peek a boo" and my son repeated and was interested .. not scared at all. Very easy going atmosphere! ;-)

If I could give this place no stars, I would. NEVER have I come across such a disorganized office. The place was jammed, obviously overbooked. We were there for almost 3 hours, with screaming kids running around. So stressful. I asked a nurse for a sucker as the kids were starving. She informed me they dont get any suckers until AFTER their visit. Heck, had I knew it would take that long, I would have brought lunch for my grandkids. They have a lot of special needs children there and its so hard for the Moms to keep them occupied. I would never want to return. Dont care how good the doctor is. Our time is valuable also.
