The service I experienced at Sephora was excellent. The salesperson gave good information on products and really knew her stuff! Additionally, I brought in a return item I had purchased in France which the U.S. Sephora doesnt carry. I had my receipt (50 Euros) and the salesperson wasnt sure what she could do because she never had a customer bring in a return for a product unique to Europe stores. Instead of declining my return (which would have led me to walk out disappointed), she processed my return and said she would figure out with management later how to handle internally. This made me, the customer, so happy and I proceeded to shop and purchased well over $100 in products. That is how customer service should work and Ulta should learn from them because the service (or lack of) at my local Ulta (Northville) is pathetic. The only reason I dont give this Sephora 5 stars is because they dont carry all the products available at most Sephora stores. The reason, I was told, is that this location is within a JC Penney store which has its own salon and Ulta cant carry the hair products which would compete with the salon.

Employees are just rude, snubby, and sarcastic. I asked The manager (pretty sure she was manager) where the New kat von d stuff was and she told me with an attitude "Right there, did you even look??" Yeah never spending another dollar here ever again.
