I wish there was an option for no star. Before I stepped into the door I called and made sure they accepted Care Credit as I dont have vision insurance. I went into this location looking for an annual eye exam, contacts, and new glasses. The lady started with me by looking at frames because I said I was interested in getting new glasses. Once I picked a pair she started adding everything thing up for me (before I got my exam or anything) and I showed her a coupon I had printed off from the Pearle Vision website (it was 50% off when you buy contacts and glasses). She went and asked about it and came back and told me they couldnt accept it because it was a corporate coupon and they are a franchise-ok fine no big deal. Then, again she added things up-told me I was getting a 20% discount on my frames and told me the total-I said ok, I am paying with Care Credit. She went back up and was asking more questions then came back and told me I could not use the Care Credit on the glasses because I was already getting a discount on the glasses and her manager pays 13% for transactions on the Care Credit machine. I said Ok forget the glasses then, also you really should tell people things like that over the phone. She did not apologize-just walked away. So I went over to the frames I had picked out and wrote down the product number so I could potentially order them somewhere else or online. I got called into the exam room by the Doctor-who I actually really liked. After the exam was done I went back out to wait for the Doctor to exam my eyes after contacts were put in and started looking at the frames again and writing down product numbers. The sales women walks over to me and says Are you going to buy frames today which I replied No, I am writing down the ones I like so I can get them somewhere else and she replied My manager does not want you doing that. She hand picks theses glasses and doesnt want you to write down the numbers which I reply are you kidding me then I go sit down. I know at this point I should have just walked out but I REALLY needed contacts. I was furious. After another quick exam I come out and she tells me how they are going to order trial pairs of contacts for me so the Doctor can make sure they work out, then they will order a year supply and I say ok. She walks back up to the desk and I hear her discussing with the manager that she needs to order the year supply because she does not want to run my Care Credit card twice because it costs money. So she comes back and tells me she is going to order the year supply. I received no apology-NOTHING. I know I should have walked out but I desperately needed contacts and I was already there. I work in a small business customer service industry and where I work we do accept Care Credit. We would NEVER treat someone like this and if a situation occurred that made a customer mad-we would apologize and try and fix it. Businesses should strive for excellent customer service-not be rude to people. Clearly they dont though or these reviews would be much better. To me if Care Credit is such a big cost to them-then dont have it. I will NEVER go back here and I really hope after reading these reviews (which I should have done before I went) no one ever goes there.

Terrible experience. As others have nothed--was a a fiasco from start to finish. Ill give details: I too was there all afternoon for glasses. Dr. "Dont bother me" made me and my son wait whilst he chatted with a friend in the waiting room about Mountain Biking. And looking at me the whole time..was creepy like he knew we were waiting ...and could care less. I was his only patient and he made us wait about 20-30 minutes. When I did finally have an eye exam..the guy is a downright A#$%^hole. Every question was "stupid" I cared more than he did. His wife likes to sell you the busted/broken glasses(that completely fall apart with little wear) first and promise coatings/scratch resistant lenses (which I paid fo)r and never provided) They will then call you every month looking for their next car payment. Avoid this place like the plague. They are complete scammers and after you leave---you feel scammed..

I cannot imagine who these people are talking about in some of these reviews. I have always had timely service, quality glasses, and a thorough eye exam by the attentive Dr. Birchmeir. I think this place has the best styles in town, and the best people working for them. No one has ever shoved extras on me for more money, and I have always! been happy with my prescription. Also I have never had a lengthy wait, but I am able to go at times when others may be working. My husband has had similar positive experiences, and we would not go anywhere else. They use the best lab around by the way. Sadly some people just want a cheap product and an assembly line process.

I agree with all of these negative reviews! I felt completely scammed after my visit. I paid a fortune and when I asked them the clarify or justify the price they immediately got snotty with me and told me thats just how much its going to be. Dr. Birchmeier is awful and makes you feel like a complete idiot while also making you feel like he is well above you just because he has a Dr. in front of his name. Trust me and avoid this place as the others have suggested. Itll be cheaper in the long run and you wont feel angry, frustrated, cheated, or belittled afterwords. Worst eye doctor experience of my entire life!

Very slow and prices are never what they quote you at the beginning. If you are looking for a VSP provider, Costco just starting VSP this month. I have waited over 1.5 of an appointment and then anothe 30 min in between station. I was then was over charged. When I questioned them on it they could not find the paper that they showed me earlier. I do not trust the doctors wife who is the office manager and sales person. Prices are OVER retail and they do not apply insurance. Use anyone but this pearl vision and Dr. Birchmeier.

Walked in for a simple eye exam at 4:30pm but it was a waste of time. I waited 2 hours for the Dr. to even see me. Eventually I was told to try on tons of glasses. They act as if they get commission on glasses. I felt like she was trying to sell me the high end pair. After being asked to move so she can help other customers I didn’t have a chair to sit in and eventually I left a little after 8oclock. New customers stay away!!!! SVS vision took 30 minutes for an eye exam and I got glasses for my budget.

BEYOND EXPENSIVE. I bought two pair of glasses from Pearl a few years ago. There was some kind of sale and by the end of all the upsells my total cost was $900. This wasnt even fro transitional lenses or bi/tri focals. Just a pair of regurlar glasses and perscription sunglass. $900! Today I went to Costco to replace the sunglasses and got transitional lenses with an exam for $200.
