Today after using the Money-Gram machine I waited briefly in line to pay about $800 cash to the cashier for my rent payment. Ive done this twice before, I had been helped by the gentleman and the young lady who were there on prior occasions. They were both professional and pleasant, which is why I came back to this CVS today. Ive been coming in to this location since I was a kid, back when it was a grocery store. I lived in an apartment next to this location for 2 years. Today I greeted the cashier warmly, she was anything but hospitable. An older woman with shoulder length grey hair. When it was my turn I simply said Id like to pay her for the transaction that I processed at the Money-Gram machine. The cashier seemed to take offense to me as soon as spoke. She proceeded to mock me and make snide, rude remarks. She held up her hand and snapped "hold on, stop, theres all kinds of possible transactions"... and when I asked for a receipt she said "youll get all kinds of things as soon as Im done with this"... This should have taken two minutes and about three sentences of communication. Instead she insulted me loudly in front of other customers each time I finished speaking. Perhaps my beard was a little unkempt today, otherwise I was as pleasant and reasonable as you would expect a customer to be in a place of business. She treated me like a major inconvenience. Why? I had all the money neatly organized in brand new $20 bills, and I arrived with all the necessary instructions and account numbers for my transaction ready to go. Ill never set foot in a CVS again.

Love the folks in Pharmacy. They still understand customer service. The retail portion of the store has been steadily going downhill. Too bad.
