Prices are way higher than any other place even when selling the same name brand products. I bought two organic cookie mixes and both of them had insect larva and cocoons on the inside of the box which was pretty horrifying when I opened it.... I went onto their website to see if they had any contact/feedback forms but they didnt so I suppose Im just writing it all here as people should be aware. If you buy any organic mixes in paper boxes, OPEN IT FIRST, because it may have bugs. Its way gross. Now this part of the review probably isnt Fresh Acres fault, but the last couple times I went there they had an awful cashier. I thought perhaps I had somehow offended her so I gave a friend money to pick up some items for me but it turns out they just have a really rude and nasty cashier. But this grocery store is so close to my house that even with the bug larvae and awful cashier girl/teenager/humanthing, Ill still probably shop there out of convenience. I just wont buy cookie mixes..

I usually shop at stop and shop due to this being out of my way. However, I had heard good things and my wife was looking for a certain gluten free option that stop and shop didnt have. So I went to fresh acres to look. I had never been there before so I went to the customer service booth and asked the younger girl liz behind the counter if she could help me out. I had never been greeted at stop and shop with such a good attitude and such a knowledge of products available in the store. She helped me find exactly what my wife sent me for (thank god) and my daughter wanted some of the tasty gelato and she was happy to assist with that as well. I dont know if they train all of the employees to be this nice or if I just got lucky but she made me feel like a true valued customer. I will be going out of my way to come here. 5 stars for great service.

If you can keep the rich old ladies from squeezing all the fruit and vegetables the death, the fruit and vegetables are fabulous we never need to search through what they have for their prices we just buy it Their selection of beef is unparalleled. They were the first around to have grass fed and aged beef available. The meat and deli sections are undersized For the staff that is working, service suffers. The 4 to 5 Isles of dry goods that are extremely overpriced but if you needed them in an emergency or if youre too lazy to go to the grocery store theyre there.

The atmosphere,friendly staff, and great product selection make this a wonderful shopping experience. The market is the perfect size for discovering unusual and hard to find gourmet delights. The chef prepared meals are great since you are able to buy a serving for one or two or you may order a party size portion. You can buy as much or as little as you need. A real MONEY SAVER and all the preparation is done for you. Try the HUGEsandwiches .Graet variety on store baked breads.Best price around.

Very convenient and they have lots of unique options. I have seen alot of great ingredients to make different appetizers. I like to go when I need a few quick items since they are a bit pricey. The customer service is great and very friendly! I was getting deli cheese for French onion soup and the deli employee offered to slice my breads for me. They also have really good stone oven pizza.

the meat counter is not very fresh and the service usually takes a few minutes to get attention. The prices are also very inflated as mentioned by another reviewer. I shop here for hard to find items for my food-allergic kids but I will no longer be buying typical groceries.

Horrible horrible horrible! I hate this place! Very racist people. If you are not white and are looking around they watch and stare. Sometimes will even come up and approach you to see what you are doing. The place looks great! The people are not!

The best thing about this alternative grocery store is the atmosphere, its absolutely beautiful. However, the prices are absurd and they dont have a very big selection. For example, they dont even have fresh mango juice....cmon!

A great contribution to 16 Acres. Fresh Acres is a smaller grocery specializing in locally grown and upscale food items. You can find the standard staples here too. I drop by for the vegetables and cheese.

This is Big Ys take on Whole Foods. Tons of unique items that typical grocery stores dont stock. They also have a buffet style lunch set up for healthy meals on the go.

Great place for organic/fresh produce. Dont expect to do all your shopping here though or youll be broke very soon. Try the "stone pies." Great pizza.
