Ive never really been a big fan of donuts, unless I have a long night of my midnight, munchies, attacks!! Lol (sshhh, hey Ill addmit, its not like i m on a diet, or cant afford a dosen of donut bootie)! :) what I can say is.... Donuts are very filling, and after eating one ,, thats right just one,, of course, ya , anyone who know me, Ive always been very tiny, and thin. Ppl who dont know me, would assume,,, that Lil bird bones, can only eat half a donut.. ;) THINK AGAIN,,donut shack has real good donuts, muffins, and pastrys!! Dunkin donuts are a stail joke! Lol. Once u try one big, soft, heart melting donut, promise youll chuckle at dunks, drive rite by smiling as you pull up to the shack. From there on your morning wont get better after starting it off with the best shack donuts and most of all,, Mr. Eric, THE DONUT KING!! ;)

Tiny place, hardly ever open, and the sub-par Donuts and store-bought coffee was certainly not near the hype of catching the thin hours that theyre open. Not anywhere near the quality of locals businesses like Donnas Donuts or even the conservative-leaning Top Donuts down the street. For this experience, I could go across the street to the convenient store, buy a dozen Hostess Donuts, and make bland coffee at home. My first and only trip here, I bought a half dozen Donuts, threw out 3 of them. Have to get there by 7am for the good Donuts? Screw that, make the trip to Union Square Donuts in Somerville and get the best of all time any time during the day.

Lowell is a city with deep cultural roots, loaded with great food. Not the least of which is doughnuts. And I dont mean those awful chain ones. Dumpin Donuts and Honey Dont! Of the small, local shops we love Top Donut and we still miss Eat-A-Donut. But there is nothing -- Nothing -- like the fresh doughnuts at the Shack. others have attempted marshmallow-stuffed entries, but none come even close to the wonderful version at the Donut Shack. And isnt a truemeasure of a doughnut shop its glazed model? The ones here, especially if you time it right and theyre hot out of the over, melt in your mouth.

This place is a hidden gem in Lowell! Their homemade donuts put Dunkins to shame and the people are always so friendly there! The only downsides are that you have to get there early for a good amount to select from, the place accepts cash only, and the small location does not have a lot of seating, but the quality of the pastries are so good, Im usually pretty happy with anything I get to go. I always try to come here in the mornings for breakfast when I can!

Good location and great prices. $8.50 for a dozen and $1 for singles. I was excited to try the marshmallow filled but it really just tasted more like dunks frosting than marshmallow. The honey dipped were the best of the bunch with the lemon filled in second place. I like the no-no-nonsense feel and lack of eccentric flavors that cost a small fortune that other donut shops have.

This is a hidden gem of not only Lowell, but in all of MA. Ive tried Kanes and Blackbird donuts working in downtown Boston but they have nothing on Donut Shack. Just how good are they you ask? I picked up a few dozen for my office and it turned into a weekly thing with everyone pitching in until I moved from Lowell (4 months). This is one of the only things I miss about Lowell.

Excellent donuts, they have never disappointed. The fillings are terrific and the glazing is good without being too greasy like Dunkin Donuts donuts. The only warning is, you need to get there early for a good selection. They close at 11AM and by 10 they are out of several kinds.

Great donut shop, the "old fashion coconut" is delicious. They didnt have any coconut donuts in the racks when I got there, but they were more than happy to dash back to the kitchen to make me a couple while we waited. Prices are very reasonable. Thanks, Donut Shack!

Comparable to Donnas Donuts of Tewksbury, but smaller. Donuts are less than $1 each! $15 for 18 donuts! Lots of options in flavors (chocolate glazed, jelly, jelly cream, boston cream, plain, etc.), but I hear this place closes once they sell out. So get there early!

This cash-only establishment boasts some of the best donuts youll ever try. A simple glazed donut was hands-down the best donut Ive ever tasted: fresh, sweet (but not too sweet), and soft. Will be going back to experience more of their delicious donuts.

If you havent had donuts from the Donut Shack, you really need to try them. These are without question the best in the area. They dont skimp on any ingredients. I dare say that they even may go overboard with some fillings, but thats not a complaint.

Went there picking a dozen donuts last Tuesday for the Christmas party and everyone is talking about how delicious the donuts are. I would say probably the best donut shop in Lowell!! Highly recommended!!

The donuts were fantastic, not the best, but fantastic. Parallel street parking only. Very small shop, only a couple tables. In a residential neighborhood, very low key.
