Yup , the prices are good and thats about it! We went last Sunday and like usual the place was a zoo, the employees were stalking shelves making the already tricky act of navigating down the Isle all the trickier. All this is pretty normal for mb ,however never will I buy meat from here again. When I approached the meat section the smell of death began to seep into my nostrils , causing a wave of nausea to immediately settle into my stomach, as I got closer the smell was now stronger and even more grotesque . I noticed a display of chicken that was on sale, I cant imagine why , smh. This chicken, that people were actually putting into their carriages was beyond rotten. I quickly scurried away from the smell. For some unknown reason I turned around to take one more look and noticed that a bunch of the meat guys had surrounded the bad chicken rack and were hurriedly taking it off the display and placing it on a wheeled rack. One man was holding his nose. This stuff happens but not once while I was there did anyone bother to mention to the customers that the chicken was bad.

Without a doubt the finest aspect about this store is the price of the groceries. My wife constantly complains about the crowds and lack of parking spaces, but this can only be expected when the deals are this good. Certainly it is not as clean as a Stop and Shop (let alone a Shaws)... but again, if your all about price this is your store. As a point of comparison, Stop and Shop whole milk will run you about $3.49 while at MB Garlick brand is something like $2.69. Store brabd 24oz raisins are a dollar cheaper than S&S... etc. The only time you dont save is if they dont have a store brand. For instance, they carry only Crisco Brand shortening which sells at national brand pricing; however, S&S has their Great Value brand which is several bucks cheaper.

I dont get why theres such a crowd. As a shopper who frequently shops organic/all natural and plans meals around sales while stocking up on nonperishable sales, I dont get the fuss. To say the least, Shaws is $1 cheaper per lb on this weeks advertised price on cherries, and Stop & Shop will be $1.11/lb cheaper next week albeit they will have a 5 lb limit. Well, as I am certainly fine with one or two choices of fruit plus bananas (same price at Shaws; $.10/lb less at Stop & Shop) plus the huge savings that can be had when stocking up at Stop & Shop when they offer gas points on specific items, theres just no reason to visit this place. Even on items that dont go on sale much such as dried fruit, they can be had much cheaper at Trader Joes.

Typical Market Basket. Great deals and this one always well-stocked and has never bee out of anything I needed. Always super crowded and loud and every one pushes a super-sized shopping cart down the normal sized aisles causing traffic jams and doubling whatever time you thought you were going to need to grocery shop. The checkout lines are long and there is only one express aisle. The best time I have found to go is around 11am on a weekday. So all of us with a job are doomed to the weekends or night time.

This was my most favorite store to grocery shop at! It has better prices than Stop and Shop and it has a large selection. The store in Danvers was always neat and shelves were never missing products. I REALLY loved their announcement sales-- "For the next hour, we will be trying to cut down our supply of bakery items, so pick them up for half off!" Cant beat it! Could never find frozen veggies, especially peppers-- or frozen ravioli/tortellini for the prices I got there!!

LOVE market basket! Cheapest grocery store around WHILE still keeping quality high. I always shop here every week. Avoid Sundays as they are always the busiest. They even have a Japanese sushi guy making fresh sushi every day! And they "subshop " inside next to the bakery is really nice. Cheap and Huge portions of subs pizza chicken fries onion rings and more. Often get dinner on the way out here when I am tired enough/ dont feel like cooking.

This market basket is always the cheapest (except maybe fresh meat, I dont buy it that often). Clean store, friendly and helpful staff, and always in stock for everything I buy. Produce section is pretty thorough and the deli guys are great. Always get a complimentary cup of coffee when I shop here. Makes it a nice experience.

Отличный магазин, хорошие приемлемые цены. Единственное, когда стоит акционый товар, почему то нет цены за штуку, только цена за несколько штук

I just cant say it enough Market Basket is my overall favorite store above every other. In fact I worked for Shaws for years but always did my shopping and still do in the Salem store. The prices are great and I always find what I want. I love it!!!!!

Better pack a lot of patients from visiting this store. They are always packed the matter what time you go and if youre looking for a good meat selection you should try to go on a Monday or Tuesday early in the morning when the order comes in.

Market basket is very inexpensive but you could be in a aisle stuck in there because 100 people can go in a aisle and dont even get me started on how long you have to wait in line. They dont even have much their well Thank you bye.

The best prices. I converted to shopping here a couple of years ago and cant believe how much you save. The produce is very fresh, good bakery and deli. Excellent seafood. It gets crowded at times, but definitely worth it.

Okay, so the place is cheap...thats awesome. BUT, the employees look so overworked and messy. The cashiers and stock people look mean and weary. My goal is to get my crap and get out before someone shoots up the place.

I dont. Im in line and there a beagle pulp in a carriage approachng the checkout counter. This is against the law. Great place to shop., But a manager needed to stop this before he filled his goddamn basket.

Market Basket might be the best supermarket chain in America. The prices are great and the service is exceptional. The stores are always well stocked and they cashiers get you out quickly.

Good prices, do not like that they stock the shelves while you are trying to shop and block the already crowded isles! Do it at night would be much nicer for the customers.

A inexpensive, full service grocery store. The clientele can be a bit rough, but the employees make up for it. The sushi there is surprisingly good.
