I needed a birthday cake, but I simply walked in, looked at the display case, and picked out a small (served about 6) one with whipped creme frosting and fruit on top. They offered to add a message to the top, but it looked too small for anything other than my friends age so I declined that feature. They packed it up in a nice cardboard box with a red ribbon and placed that in a plastic bag and a separate bag for the barbecue pork rolls that I also bought. I didnt ask ahead the prices on the cakes (the steam rolls have a sign $1.25 ea.) so I found the final overall price a little high, but I dont buy a lot of cakes and therefore was willing to pay about $15 for this special occasion. The cake was delicious and my friend was impressed with the fresh strawberries inside.

I bought a last minute cake for a bridal party at the bakery and it was a hit, the fruits were fresh, the cake was moist, the price was fair, it was just perfect. The lady that helped me with the order and packaging of the cake was very professional, friendly and she new was she was doing. the doctors, nurses and all the staff and the department loved this cake. I will definitely come back for more

Very bad service and doesnt taste the same anymore. I use to order my birthday cake every year from them. I will never go there anymore. Last time I try to pre order a birthday cake ahead of time but the lady say I must pay half of the price just to put in the order. They never have that policy before. My father always order my birthday cake there every f**king year and they didnt make him pay half.

I really liked Eldo cake house until we bought a cake today. They sold us an old cake when we asked for the most fresh one for a birthday. I loved the cakes and had great respect for Eldo Cake House but I am very disappointed. I still love the BBQ pork buns, but it really might be time to find a new cake destination because the cake was a disgrace.

I am really picky when it comes to Chinese buns and pastries...so I go to certain bakeries for certain items. For Eldo, it is mainly for the following: the baked and the steamed BBQ pork buns, fresh whole cakes (especially mango mousse) and egg tarts. Their egg tarts are my favorite in Chinatown.

My aunt has bought fruit cakes from here twice for her special occasions and they are so much better than the Chinese bakeries in lowell because the cream has a subtle sweetness to it rather than a salty, buttery flavor. I want the fruitcake from here for my birthday too!

Soooo delicious we had a cream cake with fresh fruit. The cream isnt like other whipped cream cakes its not milky or overly sugared, and the fruit is fresh. The sponge cake is the perfect consistency. I highly recommend them, its worth the ride.

The pastries and cakes are ok, but dont expect much out of their custom made cakes. We picked a cake out of their picture selection of custom cakes and it looked nothing like the picture. Also they didnt leave a spot to put happy birthday on it.

The best wedding cake ever! So beautiful, light, cream frosted and filled, soooo yummy. For Anniversaries we order the next best to it the cream cake with fresh fruit. I assure you you will crave this cake once youve tried it.

i usually dont like cream-filled pastries because theyre somewhat bland but the cream they use is DELICIOUS and flavourful. the pork buns are very good as well. prices are great too.

Great buns, cakes, and sticky rice. I walk here from Tufts Medical Center because I like their cakes and things. The prices are very reasonable.
