I was hosting my first team meeting at my new company, and I wanted to make it fun. I ordered the "sundae party" from JP Licks to be delivered to the office. I submitted the form from the website a week prior and got the submission confirmation. Long story short - I learned 15 minutes prior to my meeting that they werent coming. Elizabeth the "catering" person I called four times, was in a meeting and had a store employee leave me a message. I will say that the store employee, Katherine, was very nice and tried to help, but couldnt really do anything because" Elizabeth was in charge of the catering." So I ended up calling Ben and Jerrys on Newbury in a panic and they rushed someone over with ice cream for my meeting. So my advice to JP Licks - dont offering "catering" and "delivery" if you cant keep your promises.

I love this place!!!! got the seasonal flavor of Pumpkin, added cheesecake and yogurt chips... Great combo!!! It was $5.45 total. My friends got the green tea and the coconut flavor. Both tasted just as good. I must admit I like it better than a few other snow shaved ice cream spots in Cali because it is more creamy and less icy. My entire bowl did not melt before I finished. That is always a plus! It doesnt melt as fast as other shaved snow spots ive had. Did I mention the flavors are prominent and strong? Its not a powder drizzled on. The snow shave is the actual flavor itself!! Hip hip hooray for that! I will return, again and again!

Couldnt help but stop in at the end of our run along the Charles River. Grab your ice-cream and Italian soda and make the short walk to Boston Common. THeres a choice of maybe 20 stock ice-cream flavours and (in May 2014 when we were there) about 6 speciality ones. Staff were friendly and helpful letting us have a few tasters and explaining what the flavours were (note: avocado is weird, negative chip means dark chocolate with white chocolate chips). The ice-cream was delicious and it was nice to see some experimental flavours.

Easily one of my favorite spots for ice cream in the city. Theres always a line going around the block, but trust me, its worth the 10-20 minute wait. If youre going for the first time, you must try the salted caramel. Its incredible. I also love the brownie a la mode they have, although thats best shared between two people unless youre very hungry. Also make sure to ask them what the special flavors for the day are - theyre usually pretty interesting too!

Local ice cream chain originally from Jamaica Plain (hence the J.P.) in its name. Serves decent coffee as well, and very close to both the T (for morning work coffee runs) and the Esplanade (to enjoy your ice cream). Not super fancy, thank goodness, and perfect place in the summer. Be prepared to queue for a bit especially during Boston summer months, but customer service is quick and friendly! Also they have dog treats :)

JP Licks is good ice cream. It doesnt have that super homemade ice cream feel, but its delicious and just a step under commercialized like Baskin Robbins or Dairy Queen. The place is PERFECT for a late night stroll, and is open late enough that if Im hungry at 10:30pm its a no brainer. They are also pretty explorative when it come to trying new flavors and offering ice cream for a variety of dietary needs.

Delicious ice cream, although it is on the pricey side. While you cant see the ice cream, you can still ask for tastes. Also, while the board says a small can only accommodate one flavor, I asked for two flavors in a small and the staff were happy to oblige. The establishment is kosher and offers dairy free options.

2,000 calories of love. Peanut butter and chocolate, a match made by the gods, are in abundance on this menu. My pb-cookies and cream sundae with pb-chocolate cups and heath topping was spot on! Free WiFi to boot! Hard and soft yogurt options. My server was amazing, helpful, and humorous.

The service here was great. The man behind the counter asked my 1-year-old sons name and then gave him a free sample of ice cream. It was a little bit, above and beyond, and we appreciated it so much. The ice cream, of course, is always delicious. I look forward to coming back.

Worth the long wait in line. Employees are super helpful and knowledgeable. Plus they are ridiculously patient. The ice cream is phenomenal. Several flavors. Old time sugar cones. They also have waffle cones. Packed on this past Sunday. Definitely worth the wait in line.

I still prefer their Harvard Square location but this one has an interesting twist. On a Friday afternoon you get great fun with one of their staff members singing and dancing in the cashier. Its uplifting! Their sound selection is awesome! Ice cream is good as well :)

Best selection of non-dairy ice cream and frappe options for those of us with food allergies / sensitivities. Staff are always polite, but sometimes fantastic fun (other times its clear theyre just doing a job). Its my favorite stop when Im in Boston.

Large variety of flavors. Both ice cream and frozen yogurt. Love the Coffee Cookies and Cream flavored ice cream. They also serve coffee, tea and hot chocolate for those colder days. The have a good rewards program.

The hot chocolate is incredible, and it seems like an intricate process to make it, based on watching the guy. Might be the best Ive ever had. I can say for sure the cookies and cream ice cream IS the best Ive ever had.

Just another good, old, neighborhood JP Licks. Tasty ice cream, unique flavors, and cow-themed decor. In the summer, I love the fresh peach, but I know others who swear by the fresh cucumber.

Good old fashioned ice-cream - creamy and delicious. They also offer hard and soft yogurt, an array of sundaes and sodas. You really cant go wrong with anything here.

A good enough ice cream joint, but lack of sprinkles (jimmies) in the middle of the summer shows management cannot keep on top of things. The staff is a bit rude too.

I just went in and got a two scoops waffle cone. The ice cream was delicious but it cost almost $8. Thats pretty expensive for ice cream. Even on Beacon Hill

Their ice cream is amazing at this local heladeria joint that also sells coffee, tea and pastries. Wifi service is good, bathrooms clean.
