If I could give 0 stars, I would. I bought a pair of Manalo heels, exclusive collection, from Barneys for my WEDDING DAY. I only wore the heels for two hours ( the ceremony and photo shoot). I changed into flats for the rest of the day. Upon my arrival, I discovered that the shoes were ripped, although I was using them very carefully and I even used heel protectors to walk on the grass. I went to Barneys to figure out a way to handle this defective product- I am not going to speak about how rude she was to me, but I ended up dealing with the manager. I am VERY disappointed to hear that BOTH Barneys and Manalo are not able to even FIX it. I didnt even ask for a return or refund my $1,085 shoes. I own many designer shoes similar and more expensive/ delicate than these shoes and I have never experienced anything similar to this. This will be the last time I will ever buy through Barneys or Manalo. Please be careful with these types of shoes as Barneys will not be able to help in ANY way at all.

Beautiful store, poor customer service. My wife and I are in our early 30s and we occasionally come down to Boston to shop. We went into Neiman Marcus & Saks, and all sales associates were very helpful and attentive. The sales associates at Barneys completed ignored us. Im not sure if they assumed we didnt have money because we were both dressed casually (shorts and polo shirt). I came in to sample some of the niche fragrances that Barneys carries, and when I say I was ignored, I mean it was as though I wasnt there. There were plenty of people that could have helped us, and I watched them doting over several of the better dressed older customers in the store. Its a shame as we had money to spend! We got fed up after about 15-20 minutes and left. Maybe we will try heading in there next time we come into Boston to give it a second chance, but for now, I am pretty disappointed with their level of customer service.

I love Barneys New York and miss the Chestnut Hill location. The styles are out of the ordinary, very European, funky, unique and the staff has always been service oriented and solicitous of customer needs even if shop there infrequently. Once my teen daughter loved a ring we saw there. I was short so they held the item for few days until I could return to purchase it. My daughter was thrilled. The quality is super( I still wear cashmere sweaters purchased at Barneys in the 80s!!!) and the sizes are perfect if one is petite like me. I love the fashion selections as well. The sales are the best in town!!! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly too. I do not shop a lot but if need to make a special purchase I head for Barneys New York!!!! You will not be disappointed: The best shoe department around town!!!

Honestly a digusting place to shop with rude employees and management staff. Bought a moncler coat and was kind of unsure about it and the sales guy Brad told me I would be able to return it if I did like it for any reason. Come in the next day with the jacket exactly as I bought it, because I found a nicer moncler jacket at neiman marcus. Then they tell me they cannot return it because I wore it in the store. Which that that wasnt even in the return policy or on the receipt. Never shopping to this trash store again with their cheap sales tactics.

I had bought a striped wrap dress for a nautical themed party and it looked great till the end of the day when it looked like crap the blue stripes started to get fuzzy and went into the white stripes so, I went to exchange the dress for a solid black. Well I went to the counter and spoke with Greg wow how rude he was. I really couldnt believe how unfriendly he was..it really ruined my day of shopping

A lot of the clothes here are wrinkled which does not encourage me to buy the clothing. I saw many clothes that I liked here, but the quality was missing thus I didnt purchase the items that I wanted. Upon close examination, the stitching of the clothing is awful. The material of the clothes is also very thin; it feels as if it could rip easily. I wont come back to this again

I occasionally come to this Barneys New York to get clothing items, makeup, pet food, household cleaners, and shower goods. I also like to browse their book section, and recently I made a trip down their grocery aisles. I like the grocery section, but I think they need to have more fresh produce available.
