The high price complaints in other reviews are nonsense. There are scores of reasonably priced wines that are carefully selected for quality and value. In fact, their strength is in finding hidden gems that deliver the sensory experience of high-end wines - all in the $11 to $20 range. Equally important is the customer service. Andrea knows us and our preferences. She infallibly recommends great wine-food pairings, so if you like to cook, get to know her. She even buys wines specifically because she knows we will like them! Many times I come to the store and hear, "I got something that I know you will like." We always do. So how valuable is buying only wine with a trusted evaluation, versus picking by label? How much time would you have to spend searching for reviews by strangers to find a recommendation - only to be disappointed? I suppose you could save a few dollars by going to a volume store like NH. If it is worth it to you to drive 15 miles, consume an hour of your time, and be on your own to chance selection - all to save $5 - go for it. Over the years we have surely saved hundreds of dollars by getting to know our local merchant while enjoying great wines. One more thing: six- and 12- bottle discounts reduce the price by up to 20% on wines.

Ive shopped at the store several times in the year since we moved to Andover. Its an OK experience with a decent selection. My only gripe is my last experience which happened two weeks ago. I went in looking for Francis Ford Coppolas wine (our favorite). Walked up to an employee and asked where did they keep his selection. The employee corrected me saying I was pronouncing the name wrong. I know how to say Coppola, thank you. Ignoring the rude comment, I asked another employee at the counter if they had a certain wine from Coppola, his response "Im a beer guy, I dont drink wine." Oh OK, I thought since you worked here youd at least have an idea. Good to know you take pride in your job. Needless to say Ill avoid this place if I can. Theres another store with friendlier staff, and a better selection, in the same shopping center as Market Basket. I forget the name but give them a try.

I have been to this store several times over the last two years. On the good side, they have a good selection of craft beers, wine, and liquors. However, I will only come back if there is not a single other store within 30 miles that sells the same drinks. The reason being that they are usually the most expensive store and will probably cost less to drive anywhere else and waste the gas money. A 6 pack anywhere else can be $7-8 they are $10-11 and a bottle of liquor has about the same difference in price. I will only buy something from them again if I cant find it ANYWHERE else!

Always has a wide selection of wines, beers, and whiskeys at reasonable prices. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, and the written "staff favorite" reviews on wines are accurate and reliable.

Best beer selection in the area (that I know of). They also often have tastings on the weekend from different breweries, wineries and distilleries. Plan on spending time here, so many choices!
