First and only visit. My husband went in and got 3 drinks to go. All 3 of them were dumped out of our car windows. White mocha was WAY TOO SWEET. It was the most disgusting drink Ive ever tasted. My husband described his ice coffee as being worse than McDonalds, and my 5 year-old took one taste of his smoothie (which was runny and more-so a slush consistency) and held it in his mouth waiting to spit it out! Staff that day obviously didnt know what they were doing. Im not sure if its this bad all the time, but, were not going to return to find out. I would have gone back in for a refund if we hadnt already driven away and had somewhere else we needed to be.

This coffee Shop is cool. Its new and a lot of people doesnt know about it. But I found it very interesting. I tasted their beverages on several occasions and it is authentic and it sends a message. Compared to other coffee shops they have a good price specially for their breakfast. You have to check it out. They also have a very relaxing outside seat right next to a park.Their window side seat is also very interesting. I recommend this coffee shop to every one.

You should update your times on Google. Just stopped by at 6 PM on Sunday and youre closed though Google says youre open until 10 PM. Update 11/18/16: Just stopped by and they are closed again during their normal working hours. Theyre doing construction inside. Not sure why they cant do it after working hours but guess its just my bad luck and getting coffee here is just not meant to be for me.

I have spent a lot of time at iStar Coffee. I often come to get a latte, crepe (spinach, avocado, egg, and cheese, to be specific. . . .yum) and spend some time doing work at one of the many clean, large tables. The owner is incredibly friendly and kind. I highly recommend this spot for everything. . .coffee, food, environment, and staff!

I heard about their breakfast sandwich and I wanted to try it. It was delicious and reasonable price. As a matter of fact you can say it is way cheaper than their competitors. Honestly I am not going to Starbucks any more. They have a very good coffee which makes every drink taste right. I recommend this coffee shop to everyone.

Istar coffee is one of the best coffee shop in silver spring! They have delicious coffee, food (breakfast) is made from scratch, it is perfect place to study or relax and their price is very reasonable!! definitely, I do recommend istar coffee.

Good food and coffee -- we had the bacon, egg and cheese, as well as the sausage and egg on croissants. The caramel macchiato and the cappuccino were very good, and not sugar-saturated like Starbucks ones. Service is friendly and laid-back.

The staff is friendly and courteous. We had a hot chocolate and a coffee--both tasted really bad. Perhaps they have other good things that I havent tried but not going there for coffee again.

Nice grub joint with free wifi. You can get an introductory lesson on Amharic script from the owner. Try to come on a consistent day though.

You should really update your business hours. Ive tried to come here twice - once at 7:30am and once at 5:00pm. It has been closed both times.
