I took my toy poodle to Salisbury Super Pet to be groomed. When I picked my dog from the shop the groomer had already left for the day which was about 3:00 in the aftertnoon. After I paid for the the grooming and left the store I got a good look at my my dog. I was horrified to see that the grommer had cut an uneven patch fron the base of his neck to almost the middle of his top knot. His nails were cut uneven and not filed and he still had stains around his tear ducts. When I returned to the store and complained to the manager she told me to leave my name and number. I left a note to the groomer stating that I was going to take my to some one and have the damage repaired and I would bring her the bill. I was lucky to find a groomer in the area who would take my dog and do the repairs. The second groomer at Tail N Tub performed the following services on a dog that was supposed to have been groomed:Clippped to even out the hair on the entire body, cleaned his eyes, evened the hair on his face, cut and evened out his top knot, trimmed the hair on his paw pads, clipped and filed his nails. The owner flat out refused to give a refund. His only sugestion was that I should have brought the dog back to the same person the messed him up in the first place. If you are looking for a groomer DO NOTgo to Salisbury Super Pet. Total cost to have a 12 lb. dog groomed $70.00.

The pet store is typical - the conditions the animals are kept in are pretty standard. I saw nothing good or bad about it. The main reason I feel the need to write this review it to, hopefully, educate some folks who may be looking for a puppy. No responsible breeder sells puppies to a pet store to be sold indiscriminately to anyone with money, this is common knowledge. The prices on these dogs are astonishing. In many cases, there are beautiful, exceptionally well-bred, health tested puppies of an extremely high caliber for these ridiculous prices or less. If youre willing to spend that money on a dog with no health testing (no, a "vet check" is not a health test), never meeting the parents, never seeing where the puppies were raised, never knowing the temperament quality of the dogs or ethics of the breeder then why would you not look for the best dog you can for your family? Its puppies like these, from places like this pet store, that crowd the shelters. Do yourself a favor, find a responsible breeder. You will be much happier with your puppy and are 10x more likely to end up with a healthy, stable dog and a breeder who provides you with resources and advice for life. Please be an educated buyer. Do you homework, do research.

I really wanted to like this store. I have been a Salisbury resident for almost 5 years and have stopped in on numerous occasions. I love supporting small businesses and I am a huge animal lover. My heart just breaks every time I go in. The puppies always look sick and tired. The small animal cages are always dirty. There were 2 baby ferrets I saw today that were so skinny and sick. One was laying down barely breathing. I dont know why I continue to go in. I guess Im hoping they will turn it around and I will start to see a change in their animals, but I never do. A friend of mine bought 2 puppies from them over the years (at separate times) and both were diagnosed with SERIOUS illnesses that I had never heard of before. Both died by the age of 2. It just breaks my heart. If this is a store that truly cares about their animals, they need to make changes or close up shop to stop the cruelty. Dont bother replying to my comment as you could come up with any excuse in the world, but I see what is going on there with my own 2 eyes. I dont like writing bad reviews for businesses, but after todays visit, I had to. This is just my opinion.

July 5th Salisbury was having fireworks and we went in at 8:55pm when they close at 9. Apparently people were outside because they already told them they were closed before we got there (again which was before 9) we went in anyway and Ashley the worker there was on the phone and told us "Just to let you know we close at 9" with a nasty attitude. We said "okay we will be out of here before then". 8:58 she comes and says to everyone inside the pet store "guys were closed and Id like to get out of here before the fireworks start myself" again, with a nasty attitude. And it still was not 9. Her customer service was terrible, it wasnt about the customers it was about her. I love going into there and looking at there animals but when you have a nasty attituded girl that only worries about herself and NOT the CUSTOMER is very disappointing. If your going to close 10 minutes early put that on your sign and on the website. Thanks.

I received a happy, healthy bearded dragon from a reputable breeder. They have never once had a bearded dragon with Adenovirus (a virus that makes their immune system weak, they slowly die from malnutrition and being unable to fight sickness) At first i suspected the breeder but they have no record of this ever happening and many others confirmed this. I want to like this store, but Ive read other reviews of sick lizards and fish among other things... Ive seen it firsthand. My best guess is that crickets that are uneatten get put back in the cricket cage.. if even one of the dragons had the disease, it is passed through contact with poop.. from personal experience - roaches and crickets will examine / pick at lizard droppings. And so Im left with one conclusion.. I have a dead dragon by feeding him these crickets.. Do not buy your feeders here..

I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS STORE AGAIN!!!!! I TOOK MY DOG THERE LAST NIGHT TO HAVE HER NAILS CUT. FIRST OF ALL, IN ORDER TO EVEN GET TO THE GROOMING DEPT I HAD TO SQUEEZE MY DOG PAST CAGES THAT WERE ALL CONNECTED AND FILTHY CONTAINING EVERYTHING FROM DOGS, TO FERRETS, TO RABBITS. I FELT SORRY FOR THE PETS THAT WERE THERE. THE GUY THAT WAS WORKING ABSOLUTELY KILLED HER NAILS. FOR ONE, HE BARELY CUT ANYTHING OFF AND MY MISTAKE WAS NOT CHECKING HER UNTIL WE GOT HOME. HER NAILS WERE SHREDDED AND JAGGED. I AM TAKING HER TO PET SMART TOMORROW TO GET THEM FIXED WHICH IS WHERE I AM GOING TO GO FROM NOW ON. MY DOG IS MY DAUGHTER. SHE DESERVES BETTER AND SO DO YOURS!! I AM TOTALLY DISGUSTED WITH SALISBURY SUPER PET!!!!!!!!! UGH!

I have been a customer at this store for many years. During this time I have tried to overlook the poor and incorrect conditions many of the reptiles are subjected to. I usually purchase dry goods and crickets. I have been a reptile breeder for 20 years and know what conditions reptiles and insects need to be kept in. I was appalled to discover a common practice of the employees is to place reptiles in with the crickets during cage cleaning. Reptiles can contaminate crickets through their feces and this will be passed on to any cricket that you may be buying and feeding to your reptiles. Unsafe practices such as this is why your reptile may become sick. I WILL NO LONGER BE A CUSTOMER AT THIS STORE!
