I took my sons sheltie/Aussie mix in for a full service grooming to get him bathed and clipped. I got a call from them shortly after dropping him off saying that they would not complete the service because he had too many ticks on him. We live in the woods so it is hard to keep ALL the ticks off of him even though he IS up to date on all his shots and his flea and tick medicine AND I just went through his whole coat that morning to check for ticks. However, i went to pick him up and they told me that they had already bathed and dried him so I owed 36.99 for the bath. I didnt complain. I just paid for it because I knew it WAS possible that he did have ticks because of where we live. After I get him home I started to look at him and I swear there is NO WAY that he had been bathed. His ears were still yucky. He still had a gray mark where his collar tags hang. He still had small knots on his legs and still smelled like a dog. I bath this dog about every 2 weeks. I know what he looks like and feels like after a bath. There is no way they bathed him. They sprayed some type of perfume on him so he would come out a little damp but his hair was still very dirty after looking at him. I called and received a full refund but I did spend the entire afternoon fooling with this place. I understand if he had too many ticks but DONT lie to me and say that you bathed him when you clearly didnt. Also, when I went to receive my refund the manager did not apologize or anything. She acted irritated that I had come back. She wrote on the paper that I was not satisfied. When I said that it wasnt about not being satisfied...my dog was never bathed. She cut me off and said she wasnt going to argue but she knows for a fact that he was. Funny though how she didnt want to see the dog or argue about the refund. If they had bathed the dog there would be no reason for them to refund the entire amount which they did. I dont mind paying for services but dont lie to me and steal from me.

I have been taking my 2 dogs for now for a couple of years. The staff are very kind to my animals and I feel comfortable that they will be cared for properly. I do have several negatives to speak about here. First the salon area is about the size of my walk-in closet, the reception area has only room for one person and one dog. Incredibly stressful when you have 2 fearful and dog aggressive dogs such as mine. My next complaint is even though they have a shortage of bathers and I have fearful dogs (have explained this to them multiple times) I cannot have them bathed by someone they know and are familiar with. Because the person I would prefer is a groomer, he is not allowed to bathe my dogs. Apparently this policy is not enforced with all the groomers however. My next negative comments is the last visit my dogs nails were not done properly. They were to have them trimmed and ground, they were barely trimmed, didnt notice until I was home. The biggest negative with this store is the incredible amount they charge for the items in the store, yet they dont pay their employees as well as Walmart...

Have to make a special mention for a dude in there named Evan. I only went in there for some 25 cent goldfish. Since I planned to keep them and not feed them to something else, part of me wanted to ask the associate catching them to get specific ones, but I decided against it. I didnt want to be that guy obsessing over 25 cent goldfish especially as hard as it is to catch them. Anyway, along came Evan. I asked him to please catch ones that were healthy looking- I only wanted 6 - since I planned to keep them in a pond. With masterful precision he guided the net around the tank - grabbing specific fish. He told me that he didnt like it when the pretty goldfish got eaten, so since I was giving them a home he was going to save ones that look the best. When I saw the fish he had caught they were perfect - each one with different patterns than the others. He said hed been working there for 3 years, and I felt it was heartwarming to think someone would still care about those little fish even after all that time. Thank you Evan, I will be naming one of the fish in your honour.

The grooming nail service here is terrible. Several months ago they cut the nails of my dog too short. They made no mention of it, but when I examined my dog later I could see her nails had been packed with blood stopper on all 4 feet and it was likely very painful. It took a while for the nails to grow back out. I figured it was likely a mistake of a newbie because there were no issues for a year prior. I took my dog back for her nail trim. After 10 minutes I was notified that they had only completed one foot and that the dog was having too much anxiety to continue. Odd, she never had anxiety issues before. They refunded my fee and sent me on my way. When I examined her foot I saw they again trimmed way too short on that foot likely causing pain. Now after this I see indeed my dog does seem anxious when the trimmer is near her foot. Something she never did before! Shes obviously scared that someone will hurt her again. Because of their incompetent service I will need many months to retrain her that nail trimming is safe. What Awful service.

What a store. I love a store that let you bring your animals inside. They have everything you need for your animal no matter what type of animal is ...amphibian, fish, Birds, cats, dogs, everything... they helped me out with some wild kittens that I had found that were very sick. And they did not charge me any money to give me medicine and direct me to the right people who helped me nurse these kittens back to health. Westside Animal Rescue who adopts kittens out on the inside of PetSmart are the most wonderful ladies Ive ever met in my life they dedicate so much time to helping animals and its all volunteer work.

Took my dog to the vet hospital in the store. The vets and staff there are very nice, and the bill at the end was reasonable (if even on the low end for the great care Moghie got!). I will definitely be making Banefield my primary vet provided in the future. Also, they have cat adoptions in partnership with the local animal shelters, so check out all the cute kittens and cats while youre there! Itll help take your mind off your shrieking puppy as the vets express a butt gland or two...

We took our 5 month old golden retriever to Caitlin in the grooming salon. She was wonderful with him. Bathed him, cleaned his teeth, trimmed his nails and explained everything they would do in detail.. We were very pleased and will be returning to see her again... Thank you so much
