Ive been going to marley station mall since before I can remember. As a teenager it was the mall my mom dropped me off to meet my friends on a Fri or Sat nite. As a teenager I worked at Ruby Tuesdays as a hostess and my brother at friendlys as a cook when it was still in there. He also worked at K&B toy store thru college until they closed their doors. As a young adult I can remember doing my black Friday shopping experience there & Christmas shopping through the season there the 1st year I had a real job and could afford to buy for multiple family members. Its the 1st place both my kids visited Santa and the Easter bunny, which they did many yrs in a row there, my son used to love the christmas Train display that was upstairs during the season. Pennys is where both my kids had their newborn pics taken, and our 1st official family photo. Before arundel mills was built Marley station was the only mall in a 10mile radius at least. The next closest was Annapolis or Columbia. Back then the mall had no issues renting out the stores, and even with all the stores being full the mall never seemed as full of people like A.Mills is. Even on a Fri or Sat night when teenagers came just to hang out with friends it still was a safe place to take your family, and you didnt feel like it was gonna be so crowded that you would never get any real shopping in. I was so sad to see Rocky Run shut down, it was a great restaurant to take lil kids, they could draw on the table and look at a ton of cool memorabilia from differ TV shows/cartoons. It was also a great place to go watch a football game and have a drink in their bar. I was beyond sad to see it go. Unfortunately once Arundel mills opened Marley station has been in competition in order to keep its doors opened. As a life long resident of this area I hope that the owners are able to keep the mall full of stores for at least another 5-8yrs, because if my daughter wants to hang out at a mall with her friends once shes a teenager, marley is the only one I would allow her to walk around without me in tow right behind her. And I despise shopping at A.Mills so I hope it continues to stay open so I can do my Xmas shopping there at least until shes an actual adult. I love that Spencers is still open there. And my kids always loved the little play zone in the middle of the mall, it was a great free place to take them to get energy out in the winter. I also have taken advantage of the play place downstairs, Im unsure of the name but its a store full of different types of bouncy houses where a parent can either pay a few bucks for their kids to play for a few hours while they stay & watch or a parent can choose to drop their child off for up to a 2hr span while they shop & child plays. It cost a little extra but they are supervised the entire time by a very friendly staff. I was a little upset to see that the Mall charges for stroller rentals now, as before it was free for many yrs, but they gotta make $ just like the rest of the world. I recently was there to p/u a authenticity certificate Diamond Treasures. My fiance purchased my engagement ring from them. Its right inside one of the main entrances across from one of the more known jewelry stores. The store is a Lil tiny store but he got an amazing deal on my absolutely stunning ring. And they sized it for free and secured the posts that holds the princess cut diamond on top in so i wouldnt lose it.

Honestly , it is sad to think about this mall and how much fun I had working there and going there. With Arundel Mills Mall and the Casino I really dont know how much longer that Marley Station Mall will be there. As most of you already know that Some of the stores that been in Glen Bernie Mall for years just close there doors and move to another mall. Thats how its going to be for Marley station. That Mall is not doing to well on the weekend like they use to. This Mall needs to bring something back for the younger groups and familys. Need a TGIF .. or Sports Bar Green Turtle Turn the stores into the outlets Bring a blowing place there. Rent out the parking lots to traveling Carnivals Or Fire department that are have carnival.

This used to be a major hangout mall for the local teenagers before Arundel Mills became big a little over ten years ago. Since then, traffic has dwindled a bit, which could be something you appreciate if you decide to visit. Theres plenty of parking all the way around. You still have access to major department stores at this mall, which is nice. The food court leaves you wanting - with two primary restaurants and other fast food places like Sbarros, a pretzel place, a Taco Bell, and a Chinese food place. Theres a large central common area on the main floor by the main entrance, where the elevator is. That area is used for seasonal themed setups - for example, at Christmas time theres usually a "snowy" display and a place to visit Santa.

Really enjoy this mall. My sister loved the elevator which is an open feature next to the pit of sitting area. I used to be scared of this mall because so many of the teenage people that would hang out in that pit area, around the mall and outside (that was when I was like 11). But when me and my mom went like 13 years later on a weekday night there wasnt any of them casually hanging out and smoking outside. So I liked that. Mom said theyre all playing on their iPhones at home. Lol maybe so. Anyways-- I liked the atmosphere. It was chill and had a good variety of shopping stores.

A dirty mostly gutted monument to failed Capitalism. I go here strictly for the Japanese Grill for lunch. You can find anything else other places and man, you should. As a general rule the staff are unfriendly, the mall is dirty and the store selection is nil. I dont really know how this place stays open. If they let it fall by the wayside and charged for tickets to explore an abandoned mall, that would be an improvement. The Japanese Grill stands out though. Its a particularly good teriyaki place. They should move to somewhere more populated I think.

This mall has really dropped in quality over the last couple years. Stores are leaving as the modern shopping climate continues to change. On the other hand, there are still some decent offerings inside. The larger department stores, minus JC Penny, are still there. There is plenty of parking as well. The mall likes to host car shows and other events in their less crowded parking lots, so if youre ever driving by on the weekend, glance over the parking areas to see what kind of fun things are happening.

It is a two-floor beautiful shopping center that has representatives of almost all brands and products. You can go for nail dressing to jewelry stores, restaurants to full fledged stores. You can find everything you need. The only thing is that most of the stores and shops open late, not 9 am as they supposed to. The entire inside mall is air conditioning and beautifully designed benches, where you grasp a coffee and sit for a while and enjoy.
