Have a 2001 Kawasaki Ninja ZX7R and drove around to multiple motorcycle shops to see if someone could clean and sync my carbs. Every shop i went to said they were too busy or only work on bikes they sold then I stopped by Cyclemax. They had a ton of motorcycles out front and i was thinking to myself these folks are too busy to do my carbs but i walked in anyways to ask. I spoke to 3 guys in the office area of the shop and they were the most professional down to earth people I have ever met. I told them what work I needed done to my bike and they were like can you bring it in today? I told them its not running right now because its been sitting over the winter. They said no problem we can come pick it up. I was like pick it up? HELL YES! So they picked it up and I told them some additional things other than carbs i wanted done and to take their time as Im not in a super rush to get it back right this second. So fast forward to today.....I picked up my bike and rode it home. Damn they did one hell of a job, my Ninja runs like new. This was my first time using this shop and I will never go anywhere else. The guys are very honest and just love what they do which is work on bikes. They beat every other shops prices by a lot of $$$. Very honest folks. No BS labor charging. If you are reading this review just go to the shop so we can keep this place around for a long time. You will not be disappointed. A++++++

I really like this shop. I wish I lived closer. I havent had work done by them, but buy all accessories there. Bought a helmet and gloves from them last fall. I dont recall who helped me, but they stayed after hours to make sure the helmet fit was correct, I liked the color, and it was comfortable (or at least as comfortable as a new helmet can be). I am very happy with the purchase. The price was competitive with online discount retailers, plus I got to walk out of the store with it in my hands and didnt have to wait for delivery. I also ordered gloves from them, since their in store stock was low. I was split between two different pairs but ultimately decided to go with an older model. It was difficult to tell exactly what they would look and feel like with out seeing them and I was reassured that I didnt like them, I wouldnt have to pay for them and would receive store credit. The gloves arrived in a few days and I got a phone call letting me know as soon as they got in. I went and tried them on, but really wasnt wild about them. I asked if I could order the other gloves and they had no problem with it. A few days later the new gloves arrived. They were perfect, so I paid the difference (about $10) and was on my way. Very happy overall.

*PISSED OFF* I had mixed emotions about this place. I called to see if they still had a 1 year old bike for sale - they informed me that they didnt but could sell me a new one for the price of the old one. Great! I was in! I drive an hour to get there and the guy that I spoke with on the phone wasnt there, and they guy that was working "wasnt sure how he got me that price". And I was neglected to be told that there is a charge for using a credit card (otherwise, I wouldve brought cash). I can get over the fact that the bike was a little more pricey than expected. What really PISSED ME OFF was the fact that I paid for the bike, I had it put in my name, since it is MY bike - and the technician who went over the bike with me only talked to my boyfriend that came with me. I am a woman who has been working on cars myself for the past 7 years. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE A WOMAN. The bike is nice, but I wouldnt recommend them to even an acquaintance. Dont be sexist CycleMax..

I am a woman rider who has been coming to get my bike serviced and purchase all my riding equipment from Don at Cyclemax for four years now. Cyclemax sponsors our ladies riding group and has offered to set up a session just for women to teach us about basic bike maintenance. He has always treated the ladies well, patiently explaining repair details or reviewing benefits of one purchase over another. I was reading the review posted below by the lady who claims Cyclemax is sexist and I had to laugh in disbelief. Obviously she is not talking about the same Don or the same Cyclemax. This shop has the absolute best attitude, service, advice, and prices of the five bike service shops Ive tried. And the most respect for and encouragement of lady riders.

By chance, I was referred to this shop while I was pumping gas 20 miles away from it. Knowing that I just bought a used motorcycle and needed new tires, I found the website and saw that the tire prices are competitive with internet prices. I made the drive up, and all staff was very knowledgeable, friendly, and personable. Ten minutes in, we had selected tires based on my riding style and my bike was in for repair. The mechanic made his recommended service pitch, but was non aggressive, and just pointed out items that I may want to repair or will need to be repaired soon. With two new tires, an additional chain clean/lube ($10) I was out in an hour and convinced of exactly where I will be bringing my bike for all future service.

Took my one year old Zero SR here for work, was offered a trade in on it immediately. They leaked brake fluid on the plastics and told me it was always like that, but the warranty would cover its repair. I was charged for motor commissioning (covered under warranty), annual maintenance that I didnt ask for, and troubleshooting for random shutdowns while riding (covered under warranty). I got the cost reduced after expressing my dissatisfaction, but it was clear, they are not honest. Go to Motorcycles of Dulles, theyre terrific, they hooked me up and have been a pleasure to work with.

Don is the owner and is a great guy, he is willing to take the time and help you with anything. he is really helpful with pricing too! He always gives everyone a solid and fair deal. I take my bike to this shop because I know they will give me a fair price and do really good work. I have been bringing my BMW F650 GS Dakar here for the last 3 years when they started out in a small shop before they moved to their current location. I do not look elsewhere because everyone charges way too much and do not value you as a customer like Don and his mechanics do!

Excellent bike shop! Brought my bike in for routine 8000 mile maintenance and told that the shop could do the work the next day. When I returned the next day, at first I was told they were too busy. But Don talked with me and said he could get one of the mechanics to do it so I left the bike. The work was done that same day and the total was about $250 less than what the Honda Cycle dealership was going to charge for the same service. Don explained everything and didn’t try to sell me unnecessary work.
