Store is good for gear and selection, but horrible and poor on product knowledge and customer service. Had an issue with some DEI Exhaust wrap. Called in and was told it was "very common for wrap to fade from black to white, VERY quickly". Skeptical with the response, I called DEI Engineering, explained the same situation, sent them some pictures and the response from Cycle Gear Technician in Springfield, Va. DEI Tech Support said that it was extremely uncomomn for the wrap to fade and that the CG tech had "no clue" what he was talking about. DEI Sent me some brand new wrap and asked for the old to be sent in for product evaluation. Oh, and I should also add, the wrap was just 6 weeks old. I called the store and spoke to the Asst. Mgr, who could have cared a less and had a Whatever Attitude" The only reason for the 2 star instead of a 1, is that the store has a lot to chose from, other than that... its pretty piss poor.

Cycle Gear needs to have an online inventory for us to check before we take a trip to the store locations, so we know its available. As for this store, everything is great, but I wish it was not so crowded. Its pretty claustrophobic. Its difficult to move around and try on gear, especially when there are other customers around. Maybe Im just unlucky, but theres always a crowd of people at the register. I cant tell who is a customer, employee, or friends(?)... whether or not theyre just talking casually, being helped... always end up standing there for a long while until the guy behind the counter asks "Sir, are you ready to go?"

One employee was very friendly and knowledgeable however my repeat visits have lacked any intellect. On my second visit an employee told me that my 99 Triumph Sprint ST "probably doesnt have an oil filter" when he couldnt find one stocked in his inventory, when i confronted him with the owners manual he insisted it was for a different version of the bike(i assure you it does have an oil filter). This employee was really interested in showing me his "Screaming Indian" helmet though, so helpful. On the following visit when i asked about chain lube the employees couldnt state more than a difference in price between the two options.

I brought my second helmet from this location and for the second time Brandon did an excellent job in making sure that I was more than satisfied with it. As soon as I walked in Brandon greeted me as if I was the most important customer and explained the most important things I needed to know about helmets. Thanks Brandon for all your help I really appreciated it and I look forward to my next purchase.

Limited square footage which naturally limits stock but space is utilized to its max potential. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Got some sweet leather gloves for 30 bucks. I hope they get tons of business and move into a bigger space with a much wider selection. If their stock more closely resembled their online offering I would probably go every other week to shop.

Im not sure if I like this place or despise it. They are one of the few places with a lot of motorcycle stuff. They push their two house brands heavily, and the quality on those brands is really pretty poor. They stand by their gear for life, but youll probably take them up on it when the stitching fails.

This is a new store with a surprisingly great selection of gear. The staff was very knowledgeable, and I liked that they talked with me about various options. I actually walked out with more gear and paying much less than expected. This is good because Im going back soon! Thanks Rex and Jim!

Not a bad store, just not a great selection of gear. They push a more private brand over other big names. Helmet selection is pretty good unless you need higher then L size. Very few XL+ in stock. They can order it in but it doesnt help you at the time. Skyhook-

I will give you a word of warning. All of the apparel you will find here is very cheap and inferior. Go to a local dealer, Coleman even!, and you will find better quality for about the same price. And if you ask locals about Coleman that is saying a lot.

Awesome help over the phone and assistance in getting in touch with a local shop to put on a tire. Talked to a guy named "mayhem" and he was loads of help. Most definitely helpful in getti bf my bike back on the rode safely for a return trip home.

I live a decent bit aways in Fairfax, but I always ride out to Cycle Gear to get any and all my motorcycle parts and gear. Staff is super friendly and extremely helpful, prices are always good and sales often. Highly recommend this place.
