I love the ability to research all the different makes and models with the specifications and pictures readily available, with the pricing up front. We were looking for something to hold 6+ people and after looking at minivans and SUVs, we honed in on a 2013 MB E350 wagon that was located in NY. I contacted Don Miller and Vince LaScola at the Frederick location and they immediately assisted in processing the transfer request. I received email updates about the delivery process, along with a customer unique link to the vehicles listing. The delivery time was about 2.5 weeks, but that was not an issue since we were not in a hurry and were not trading in a car. Once the car arrived, we received a phone call to set up an appointment with Vince and he handled the rest of the sale with us. We were not completely sure that the car would be exactly what we needed as far as size, therefore we spent about an hour going through different vehicles on the lot with no pressure. We kept gravitating back to the wagon and decided to go ahead with the purchase. We were assured that if for any reason that we did not like the car, we had a five day window to return the car, no questions asked. It has almost been a month, and the car is in constant use and is a real joy to drive. Thanks Don, Vince, and the support staff!

From the time I found the car on line by the way which was in Texas, I spoke with Kevin Cassidy at the Frederick Carmax he ordered the car for which I paid $749.00 dollars to have the car shipped to Frederick, I was able to ask all the questions I wanted which my first question was , "Was the car in a flood" the man in Texas said no, he also gave me a little more information that I wanted to know about the car, when I was able to finally see the car it was everything the Texas salesman said it was perfect in everyway. So I test drove the car for about 30 minutes and immediantly fell in love with car. So when I went back to the dealership they had the papers already to sign it took about a half hour to purchase the car. Frerderick Carmax has thier act together. I would reccomend Ferderick Carmax to anyone in the market for a used car they really only sell top notch automobiles. Great job Frederick Carmax. I will be soon to purchase another car for my wife.

Shopping at Carmax is always easy. I saw a car online, emailed to ask a few questions which were answered promptly and accurately, and then called to speak to a rep. She wasnt going to be there when I could be, so arranged an appointment for me to see the car. My wife and I got there later than expected, but were treated very well! We enjoyed the candor and wit of our sales rep, Michelle, and had a great time test driving the car. Trade-in and financing were done within half an hour, and we were very satisfied as we drove home. The following week, I noted a couple of small issues with the car, so I called to arrange service at the Laurel Carmax. They also treated me very well, went above and beyond the call to service the car, and provided an excellent loaner while it was in the shop. This was my third Carmax purchase, each at a different location. Its this consistent quality of service that keeps me coming back.

Purchasing my new (used) SUV with the help of KILLIAN OUSSOREN at Carmax in Frederick was hands down the best car buying experience ever! Because of my super busy & unpredictable schedule, I was having a difficult time getting anywhere over the last 6 months with my search for a new vehicle. I spoke with Killian and gave him my very large laundry list of wants/needs and within a few days Killian was texting links of SUVs for me to check out. Killian identified an SUV that I had not even considered in my own search.....it turned out to be the PERFECT fit for me. The vehicle was shipped to Frederick for me to check out. Killian did all the research, found me the perfect SUV, the price was considerably less than I thought I might have to spend, and my mechanic verified the car was in great condition. Seriously, what an amazing experience!!!! THANK YOU Killian for making this so easy and making me so happy:)

Michael Henry (sales rep) and the general manager provided excellent service. After receiving the run around for 2 weeks from Dulles Carmax for a vehicle I wanted to purchase. I called Frederick Carmax to inquire about transferring the vehicle to their location in hopes to deal with them instead. They said Yes! I am very happy that I pursued the purchase with the staff at this location. Michael Henry and the general manager were professional and courteous. They kept me informed about the vehicle transfer process as well as the inspection process. Shortly after my test drive appointment was scheduled. The day of the test drive I was able to finally purchase the vehicle. The total process of purchasing this particular vehicle took one month. I am thankful that one Carmax locations wrongdoings were corrected by another. Frederick Carmax provided me with the best car buying experience I have ever had.

Purchased a 2008 Yaris from CarMax in Frederick recently. The Yaris I liked was in Newport News, VA but CarMax transported the car to Frederick for me. My sales associate, Sam, kept me in the loop the whole time while car was being transported. On the day the car arrived I went in to test drive and complete the paperwork. Everyone I talked to was very friendly and helpful. The process of purchasing the car was very efficient and well managed. There was some minor paintwork that needed to be done to bring the car up to CarMax standards and the service department did an excellent job of catching that a Repair Order was needed and working with me to schedule a convenient time to make the repairs. The car came back looking like new. The skilled personnel in the service department at the Frederick CarMax are dedicated to their customers and always provide excellent, professional service.

If you go to the Frederick store ask for Sade she is the best! She and the sales department get 5/5 for all the help and information they give you! With that said their service department was terrible. Test drove a vehicle, mentioned some problems but I was interested, they said it was a quick fix. Go in to purchase the vehicle, then on the drive home the steering was way off (the problem I mentioned) took it back and they said that the steering shaft was bent. After they told me that they fixed it and it was safe to drive. Well while repairing it they broke the engine air filter box. Had to wait a week for the part and when they put it on they never tightened up the clamps that go on it. The car runs great, and the sales reps know what they are talking about, but if you take anything in, check it over to see what was and wasnt done.

I bought a car here a couple months ago, and that experience was overall pretty good except for the outrageous finance rates they offered in house (I was able to get a rate at more than half what the lowest rate their "banks" offered). However, on my second visit to this location I came to get a car appraised. It was a complete waste of my time. When I bought the above mentioned car a couple months ago I had this same car appraised at that time. The vehicle had some damage in need of repair at the time so the appraisal was obviously effected. So when I came back to Carmax with this same vehicle and the repairs done to the vehicle, they just simply gave me the same appraisal value. Where Im from two exact same vehicles, one damaged and one non-damaged, are not worth the same. I will not return to this location.
