I have been to several Pawns over the last couple years. Accurate Pawn & Tackle has been the most knowledgeable, courteous and professional shop I have been to. Ive been to Pasadena and several Glen Burnie shops and frankly they really dont have any customer service and MSRP pricing. I went to " Gus the Owner at Accurate Pawn " for a regulated firearm transfer and he could not have been more accommodating and knowledgeable about the firearm laws and reasonably priced transfer fees. Then I was looking for a New XDM 3.8 40 Bi Metal for my collection, the other pawns would not even do the transfer cause they said I was taking business from them by not paying there MSRP Price..Go Figure. I was transferring from gun-broker online and when I asked Gus about the transfer not only was he VERY WILLING to do the transfer , he asked me the price I was paying and he did even Better and matched the wholesaler price...WOW He made the sale on the spot. If you dont go to Accurate Pawn you did not get the best service and price on Firearms in Maryland. I drive quite a distance to go to Gus because he has and or will order anything and has the Most competitive prices in the state. Thanks Gus I will be back.

There are good deals here, IF you can get past the rude and hostile behavior. A 6 year resident of Elkridge, I was not prepared for being treated so badly. Elkridge is in Howard County, by the way, whose slogan is "Choose Civility" Ha! Not here. Like Emily, I am an African American woman. The last time I was there I told the guy that there were other shops around whod want my money, and I left. A shame. Ive bought from him in the past, but decided to no longer put it with the hateful attitude. There was nothing wrong with my purchases - but there are too many other places who know who to treat you to continue supporting a business where the people are so angry. Its not my fault its 2012. Get over it. Either way, this pawn shop wont see me again. Ill drive to Laurel first.

Used this place for its FFL after buying online. Called and spoke to someone, they sent their license to the broker, and weeks later I still dont have my gun that was delivered almost immediately. FFL transfer fees are fair, but that doesnt matter if you cant get in the building....couldnt get anyone to answer the phone, went to the place twice, and it was locked up during normal hours. Sitting outside right now, trying to pickup a transfer on a Monday at 230, not a soul in sight, no answer on the phone. Has a number listed in the window to call for assistance, also no answer. Would have gladly paid the extra ten bucks on the transfer fees for a business that actually operates.

Overall, the store employees were very friendly. However, they do not seem well organized. I purchaed a handgun to have transferred and went to the store ahead of time to fill out the application paperwork and was told by the store they would input the serial number when the gun arrived. I called and the store to ensrue the gun was received and was told to call back after the 7 day waiting period. Seven days later, I called the store to ensure the paperwork was back from the state police only to discover the paperwork had not been even been sent. Now I am having to wait even longer. Again, the store employees were friendly, but I hate having my time wasted.

Gus is the man. Straight shooter and gives below-market prices. If you pay via non-credit (debit, cash, check, etc.) he can give you an even better price because he wont get killed by the 3-4% CC fees. The fact that hes open and honest about this really shows how down to earth he is and how willing to help he is. Every time I go into his place the store is usually empty and we end up talking guns for a little while. Hes very knowledgeable about the MD/DE laws and great to "talk shop" with. Hes a licensed Henry dealer too, so if youre looking lever action, he can hook you up. Ill continue using him as my FFL for the foreseeable future.

called on the phone to see if they had what i wanted. they had what i wanted in stock but i got short answers, kinda like they were busy or just rude... but it was a rare item that i had been looking for 6+ months. i heard about Accurate Pawn through a fellow collector and he said "Gus" usually has the hard to find stuff.... So i went down and asked for "Gus." The store was smaller and he is definetly out-numbered by customers, but loaded with great stuff.. TO MY SUPRISE... a decent greeting and willing to do business.. HE GAVE ME A GREAT PRICE, better than i thought imaginable. James

I have been to this location 3 different times with the full intention of buying a firearm but I always end up leaving with nothing due to the fact they have high prices and poor service. if you are looking at getting a Glock go to The Cop Shop, any other firearms I would recommend 2A sales. Accurate Pawn and Tackle has a bad location to begin with there is never any parking, every time I go in there it takes at least 30 min to look at anything and the guy working is always complaining about how busy he is. I honestly think this is the worst place I have ever been to and will never go again.

Ok, called today to get information on a hand gun purchase, was told they might be able to order it. Asked him if he wanted my number etc to get back in touch with me after seeing if they could order it, he told me hed prefer I call him back because they were preparing for a gun show. Bad answer, poor customer service, he also coughed nonstop on the phone with me. Put me on hold or call me back after getting yourself together. Dont tell customers to call you repeatedly each day hoping for a product to appear on the shelves. Write down a number and get in touch with the customer.

Ive gone into to this place several times, once to pawn an item and several times to shop. The owner or whomever it is, Gus that they have working at the counter is rude, condescending and extremely unhelpful. While he was talking to me he wasnt even looking at me. Also, one time I went there he wouldnt even let me in through the front door. My opinion is that he basically scares you out of the store if he doesnt want your business, for whatever reason... Ive only gone there a few times because its very convenient but this last time will be my last visit there.

Ive been to this place a few times. Gus knows a lot about firearms and is very straight forward, which for me makes him easy to deal with. For a small shop the place is packed with a little bit of everything, On top of all the firearms, knives, ammo and gun parts, the place is a pawn shop. The place is usually a little busy because people love this place and really how could you not? Prices are very fare I got what I wanted and didn’t have to order online score!!! Only wish I had more money in my pocket but I will return to this store for my next firearm.
