Yay, they fixed the website to the correct time, but their pre-recorded message when you call them still says they close at 11 pm, and if you call between 11 pm and midnight, the recording will say the store is closed when in fact it is still open. I wonder how many customers theyve lost (and continue to lose) because of that?
I work until 11 pm and by the time I get to the store, I usually have less than 30 minutes to get what I need in my basket and to the register, but I always spend 15-20 minutes frantically looking for something that isnt where it should be. (Roasted whole chicken -- meat counter, right? Wrong. Deli department. And not even there, but in a cold case waaaay off to the side. Nicely hidden.)
And after I get everything rung up, I then have to sit off to the side and go through my receipt item by item because there is ALWAYS something mischarged on it, often several things. I always pay whatever the register says, THEN go figure up the correct amount and get my refund.

This store is about a mile from my house and is very convenient. The people are friendly and helpful, and the store is clean and well-lit. On just a couple of occasions have I not found what Im looking for on the shelf; usually they have exactly what I want. Whoever runs their website should be shot, however -- they have the store hours as 8 am - 12 pm. Twelve pm is NOON, you idiot. The store is NOT only open for four hours a day! You mean 12 *am*, which is midnight. But even thats wrong, because according to their recorded message when you call for the store hours, theyre only open until 11 pm. So you have it wrong *two* ways! Can someone please fix this? The website will tell you the store is closed because its 5 pm and it thinks the store closed at noon!

Love the SAFEWAY in the Damascus Maryland location! Love their products in the produce, deli, and bakery department! Very helpful staff like Jason from produce. Jason took his time to look for more mangoes back inside just to help a customer like me. He was very good and accommodating. Mangoes were delicious over there! Sam was good and other supervisors like Irma was sweet. Bagels were great and huge! Try it! Their roasted chickens are good and the ambience of the whole store AWESOME! Managers have been very helpful and helpful. Definitely a great place to shop every time.

Good selection. Ok on the prices compared to weis. Clean and quick checkout. Employees were very helpful and went above and beyond to endure every client was taken care of. Open until midnight. Clean and offers some great deals with the club card if you search for it. Sometimes it has trouble syncing the deals and you dont get your discount.

The older Safeway was built in the 1970s. In the late 2000s, the older building was destroyed while the newer Safeway opened as a relocation. It had a family restroom, but it was later removed. The newer Safeway had rare loudspeakers.

Check any type of food you pick up. Probably past expiration date or close to it. Dont expect to get balloons or flowers unless you order ahead of time. Never enough staff or simply no one ever in that department.

Good place to shop if there is some good deals. People who watch the self scan machine are very rude and never they have enough cashiers to check out. There are huge customer lines extended in to the aisle.
