To whom it may concern; I looked for a way to send my review via your store website but couldnt locate a "contact us" link, thus my following review. My wife and I have shopped at your Charlotte Hall store location since 1994 and have never had any issues. Today, June 7, 2017, I stopped to make a purchase in the seafood department for my family dinner, as there was a sale that ended today that I wanted to take advantage of. I was at the seafood department at 4:10 p.m. where a sign was posted "Be back in 30 minutes". I waited 20 minutes along with another customer for someone to return and no one ever did. So the other customer went to customer service while I continued to wait and he asked for assistance. Customer service called on the store p.a. for assistance and still no one showed up so the other customer asked the meat department employee for help and he said he couldnt help. After that, I left and went to customer service and addressed the problem with the store manager on duty "Mary". She didnt seem to be too concerned about the issue of no one being in that department so I left without making my purchase. This has been the worst customer service experience I have had in this store, thus my one "star" review. I would like to have faith that this wont happen again, as I prefer to support local businesses.

I have always Enjoyed McKays since I was a child, Ive heard so many good things about your buffet, so today I ordered a Pound of General Tzos chicken, one of my favorite foods. When I came home to eat with my family, Your Chicken did not impress me as I told it would. It had so much sauce, but the amount of sauce could not compensate for the Dry Sand paper like texture of the chicken. Your Charlolette hall manager, Mary, was helpful and is allowing me to return the food for full refund. I hope I can have a better experience next time.

This is a well stocked, clean, locally operated grocery store. With a decent selection of local and nationally recognized brands. The helpful and friendly staff really makes it a good experience. Not to mention the catchy jingle.... "It always pays to shop, at McKays".

I love this family owned small chain food store. My only issue is that it tends to be a bit more expensive. However, they have a good selection of produce and meat and also a gluten-free aisle. Its a great place to shop.

Theyve been here forever. Never a long line. They staff well enough so that people get checked out in a timely manner. You might pay a little bit for that service and the better selection, but a great place to shop overall

First time in this store. Was pleasantly surprised. Good salad bar and produce selection. Just like a big name grocery store but cheaper prices. I wish I could come here all the time but I live in Northern Virginia.

I worked here and the job was okay. The food isnt homemade except for a few items and the grocery store is run down a bit. Great bbq and Mac and cheese. Pretty good tendies as well.

This place has gone downhill over the years. It would be nice if Charlotte Hall would actually get a good grocery store. Its so dated and dirty. A complete overhaull is needed.
