My friends, who live in the area, have been telling me to come here since the day this location opened. I walked in today and I had to wonder why I HAD to come here. The selection of fruits/berries is subpar and very overpriced. I picked up a box of strawberries and the ones on the bottom were starting to get that white fuzz going. The meat department was backed up. It was a Tuesday around 5:15 PM (peak time for people getting off work) and they only had two people manning the meat counter. I’m told there’s really good meat but I didn’t see it. The steaks were bordering purple in color (cherry-red is where you want them to be) and some of the Rib Eye bones were green and dark purple around the edges. There was also a huge puddle of water in front of the meat counter. There were no mops, or paper towels, just two “wet floor” signs and streaks of water all over the place. It was hard not to step into the puddles because there is no place to maneuver. Everything is squeezed so tight you can barely get your cart through. Then when I went to get some sweet onions I was amazed that the whole section was crawling with tiny fruit flies. I picked up an onion and it was borderline liquid. “Fresh” Market? Then the checkout lines were super long even though the place was pretty much empty. Everyone was either at the meat counter or in-line. The prices were beyond high and the deli selection minimal at best. It was like a butcher shop with that sold some other products. I picked up some meat that I liked the look of, and a couple of sandwiches. There wasn’t much too choose from so I picked two different kinds. I heard when this place first opened it had amazing customer service. I did not see that until I got to the checkout counter and the cashier was nice and friendly. Or maybe that was just my attitude because I was finally at the exit.

Tonight I went into the store to purchase a pie that was on sale. I brought it to the cashier and the price scanned up to the regular not the sale price. I mentioned to the cashier and he blithely proceeded to correct the price. When I came out to the car and told my wife she said you wont believe this, but I was just looking at the reviews on my cell and some of the reviews complain about the same problem. I went back into the store and asked too speak to the manager. I explained the story and l told him that most grocery stores will give you that item for free. He agreed with me. He escorted me up to the cashier and instructed him to give me a complete refund and a 15 dollar gift card. Now thats the way to do business. Kudos to this excellent manager and Fresh Market corporate for hiring him.

I had to order my Thanksgiving lunch/dinner for my coworkers and they were extremely helpful at the prepared food department, they made it happen in less then 24 hrs and I was extremely happy with their service, I just wish their cashier was nicer. She was unhappy that she couldnt find the codes in the system for the products that I had bought and she was giving me an attitude since she has to put everything manually to ring me out. At the end I had a bill for over $300 in prepared food and I felt horrible by her looks and the was I was treated at the end. I would give 5 stars to all the guys at the prep food department all day long, they are always great. And I would give 2 stars to the cashiers

This place sucks. Three out of the five times I have been there have been horrible. From rude customer service in the bakery, to smashing my baked goods while bagging at the register to rancid chicken salad that I couldnt even eat. Only reason they get a star from me is because they made good on my experience by sending me a gift card because I complained to he manager about my experiences. Make sure to check your bags before you leave to ensure your goods that you just paid a fortune for "quality" arent destroyed by the bag person by the time you walk out. The one in Towson is so much better than this one. Not a return customer.

Love this place and go regularly! Wow, what a gorgeous atmosphere and sensible layout. I love the fresh selection of foods and breads. My favorite is the sushi. It is absolutly delicious! The sushi chefs make it fresh until 7pm (usually) and are very nice. It is tastey and priced reasonably. I caution that the produce is a little pricey, but it is at most non-farmers market grocerys. My only complaint about the store is the slow check-out cashiers. They should take some lessons from the ultra-speedy Wegmans cashiers! Other than that, this is a great specialty store!

Pricey, rude staff and the deli wait is always too long, as the staff rather concentrate on their cleaning and slicing for packaging rather than customers standing in line! They overcharge so be careful when checking out to ensure that they applied the discount price. I realized too late, after I had checked out, when I got home. So I went back and only got the change back!!! No courtesy for fraudulent charges and my inconvenience to go back, as most stores would give you another item free

This is a store you goto to get a particular item, not to do your household shopping. They have very good quality meats and decent prices and also have lots of sales! But you gotta be in the know by going there to find out! They have a really nice selection of fine cheeses but the deli meat i think is below par compared to the rest of the store products. In my opinion whole foods is still your better bet as they are in close proximity.

This a great go to spot for items to finish a meal or pick up prepared foods. The butcher shop is always well stocked and fresh and the produce is great. I often find the lack of organization for obtaining service at a pick up counter frustrating. People jump line, the staff do not know who to wait on next... Pull numbers or more staff would help here. The bakery has its days and is very disheveled at times.

I bought these raspberries for &6.99 on a Friday and came home to put them in my fridge. I wanted to make a smoothie on Saturday morning and had to pick through the package to find the handful of edible ones. How disgusting that the fruit is sold looking like this! Dont buy your fruit here. The other fruit I bought didnt look much better by the raspberries were the berries I thought to photograph.

I shop here every week, I have for many many years. The ready made foods are delicious, there is something for everyone. So, the great food selection brings me in, but Michael, keeps me coming back. You can usually find him behind the fish or bakery counter. Hes so friendly, knowledgeable, and always has a huge smile. Thank you, Michael for making my day AGAIN!

This is a great place for fresh, organic products. Most items are freshly made the day of, as was told by a trusted employee. Customer service was exceptional, the staff helped me find what I needed, which saved a lot of time. This place has the feels of an old school grocery store, where the staff and patrons know each other pretty well.
