I recently went to Shoppers at Mondawmin Mall, only to see the usual 3 registers open, and the usual long lines, as if customers had nothing to do but wait!! However, this time, I saw one that had one customer, who looked ready to check out. I pulled into line, and saw that the customer and the cashier were at a stand-still--doing nothing, as if waiting. I asked the cashier, whats the hold-up? She replied that a customer was still shopping. I turned to see if the customer was approaching, as the line behind me was beginning to fill. No customer. I turned back and looked at the cashier, whose expression told me she could care less! Then, I looked at the customer--whose friend was still shopping--and he, obviously embarrassed, asked the cashier if I could go ahead of them, since his friend was taking too long (by this time, weve been waiting nearly 5 minutes!!), and the cashier had the audacity to say, "No!" In other words, she told him--not me--that I can wait!!! I looked at her, and she stared off into space with this dumb, I-could-care-less expression on her face! I thought to myself ways of teaching her a lesson by dumping all the candy, chewing gun, and lip gloss sticks, lining the aisle, onto the counter, and walking away; but that would be sinking to her level!! I decided on a better way: calling her manager to file a complaint, with a follow-up letter to Shoppers Corporate office describing my shopping experience at one of their stores!! Unless you want a full immersion in the ghetto experience, dont shop at Shoppers @ Mondawmin Mall!!!

Overall customer service is fair.. some staff are outwardly friendly and willing to help customers while others are ok. Considering the community this market serves, Im sure managers & owners are aware this market will be full of customers looking to use their SNAP or other Govt benefits at the beginning of the month so why not have plenty of staff on hand for those days??? The lines are consistently long. The 15 or 10 items or less take as much time as the regular lines. The long lines are the most frustrating aspect of this market.

This is the worst store in Baltimore. Do not expect to go in and get out NOT GONNA HAPPEN. I dont know whats worst the customer service or the fact that this city cares so little about there citizens that they only offer one over priced name brand grocery outlet in walking distance. Should be ashamed!!! They wont have to worry about me going there and its sad because there really is nowhere else in THIS community we can shop.....but they get choices in the OTHER neighborhoods....I digress... Dont waste your time here

This particular location has a good selection of name brand foods, BUT their produce section could use a lot of help. Much of the produce was well past their time to have been on the shelves. Too many items were either over ripe, decomposing, or bruised...not a good image for a grocery store chain whose commercials boast about value and freshness. Come on, Shoppers! The surrounding community who patronizes your store deserves better!

This market used to be a good one but the longer its open the worse it gets .. ive gotten spoiled seafood and meats that wasnt of date yesterday i bought some steaks that was bad i tried to take them back but the store was closing and the best thin the manager could come up with was hold onto the meat until monday .... because everyone was trying to get home to their families like feed my family fresh meatbwasnt a priority

The workers are cool, nice and well spoken and the store is clean, in order its very easy to find anything you want and if you forget to grad something you can Allahs find it in {SHOPPERS} its a lot more but for me I love shopping at Shoppers for real nice cool calm SUPER MARKET from my point of view but if this sounds like and paid advertisement its not just telling the TRUTH anyway Im on my way there Monday Afternoon u already

This market gets one star when it comes to check out time. Ive never seen nothing like this!! Its no reason for the lines to be backed up to the point the lines are forming up the aisles.. yeah I said it management sucks. Long story short best time to shop in this hole is from 6am to 12noon... after that ur going no where fast!

MANLEY DESTINE

Great place for shopping just have long checkout lines, especially after 9 p.m. Some merchandise and vegetables are unavailable because of the Demographical make up of the area or product unavailablilty. If you see a cashier name Tama, get in her lane, shes quick knowledgeable and pretty!

The store is dirty. Customers eat stolen foods and leave wrappers banana peels chicken bone behind as evidence. Never more than two or three lines open and one have the nerve to be the express line. I only go there if i have to i take the extra drive and go to shop rite on liberty.

Never enough cashiers at this store Everytime I visit, some cashiers are unprofessional probably because theyre over worked. Prices at this Shoppers are higher than Shoppers in white neighborhoods and I tell everyone in Baltimore not to shop at Mondawmin store and verify pricing.

This is the most unprofessional store I have ever been in . Myself and several others can never get the proper service. Always waiting 30 mins to a hour for service then management and employees act like we are getting on there nerves.

Convenient, decent (not great) selection. Good prices; better prices if you download the app and use the digital coupons with traditional clip coupons (which doubles up to $.75). Most of the cashiers and Mgrs are phenomenal!

Great supermarket! Produce is fresh and cheap ( far better quality than Safeways and Giants nearby) staff are friendly, and there is no club to join to get discounts! Plenty of parking, and a Target near, too!

Very well stocked market with low prices on most items. Good selection of produce though quality & price are sometimes questionable. Very helpful staff. Location is easy to access by car & public transportation.

Same broken handicap in the dirty bathroom for over 2 years now, I know because I reported it to the Manager myself. Never ever enough Cashiers on duty, always a wait. They have good donuts though!
