went there especially for Archery items. They have a great selection of accessories, things that I can usually only find online. All of the accessory items are fairly priced, often times under Amazon pricing (once you factor in the Prime pricing premium). Biggest problem, went there twice the last week with money burning a hole in my pocket to by my "dream" bow (Bear Grizzly). Both times nobody around at all in the entire archery department (the closest person, selling knives was constantly busy, he was wearing a Hoyt archery sweatshirt, but was too busy with the knife customers). There is a generic sign up that mentions "wait time for Archery 30 minutes, so I stood around for about an hour each time playing with the bows but no salesperson showed up. Really do not want to be ordering this bow online and no other retailer in the area that I know that carries the bow, but really need some advice nd would like to test the bow for a few minutes before making decision.

I have been a regular customer of KTP for the last four years. Over this time, I have seen consistently poor customer service by all but three gentlemen in the gun room. Scott, Jessie and Dana all deserve to be praised for their excellent service despite working in an environment where it is customary to treat clients with disdain. I have continued to shop here because they are convenient to the seacoast, the selection of outdoor clothing and fishing tackle is very good and the staff in the downstairs fishing area as well as the clothing floor have been atttentive and helpful. However, there is no reason for me to shop here anymore personally. Since KTP has the highest prices in the business, I will get my fishing and clothing items online where they are tax-free. And since I will never step foot into the gun room at KTP again, I will happily make the drive to Shooters Outpost in Hooksett, NH where I can expect good service and lower prices.

If a customer is not pleased with something bought at Kittery Trading Post, it can be returned or exchanged without any problem or hassle. If you do not like something you bought, the people at Kittery will help make it right. The staff is extraordinarily committed to delivering a high level of quality customer support and assistance. No doubt a lot of that comes from the fact that the Trading Post is a landmark in Kittery, Maine, and staffed largely by local residents who know the importance of an outstanding reputation. I would call Kittery Trading Post a "classy" store, and among the top favorite stores in America. The people who work there are true professionals.

Customer service in un-believable! I have been going to the Trading Post all my life and a good number of their employees have been there since before I was born! Therefor they are the most experienced, knowledgeable staff in the "Outfitters/sporting goods" industry, especially the guns! Prices were excellent, selection was incredible (have never seen so many options and variations of each product, they literally have everything you need... and many you never thought you needed!) Used guns for days and days, so much to see not enough time! Which brings me to the appearance of the store... WOW. Keeps getting bigger, better and more beautiful every time I go there, only problem is getting lost! If youre in the area the Kittery Trading Post is a MUST.

Recently I purchased two hand guns at Kittery Trading Post and had an excellent experience. Michael behind the gun case has great knowledge and experience which he used to guide me through several weapons until I found what was right for me. I had previously been to that shop looking for similar firearms but didnt quite get the guidance I needed. Michael did a fabulous job with me and I look forward to purchasing other items from KTP in the future. Lastly, NH residents get the full benefit of a sales tax-free residency as KTP can transfer new weapons to the transfer station on the bypass making the whole process cheaper and hassle free. Spoon

Selection of shoes/boots is always the best pricing that Ive ever found, even considering no sales tax in NH (5 min away) and power shopping on the internet. Great selection, very current on brands and styles as well for women and children (no experience with mens). Minus one star for this section of the store seemingly being woefully understaffed always, even during holiday season. Be prepared to wait to get sizes for shoes you are interested in. Selection of upscale womens winter casual wear is fantastic, too. Returned a slew of Prana and Columbia items to Zappos when I found them ~25% cheaper there than Zappos, even with tax, and not on sale.

I have been doing business with the Trading Post for decades because they are a local company. They make their facilitys meeting rooms available for critical community issues like the deteriorating bridges connecting Maine to NH. The most positive recent experience was purchasing a backpack with a gift certificate from my staff - I described my needs to one of KTPs female staff and from their huge inventory she suggested a Dakine product. It has been great! Whether for my daily 30 mile cycling commutes to the rain forests of Dominica to the mtn bike trails of Arches National Park, I couldnt be happier

So of all the outlet stores this is by far the best and biggest attraction. It has something for kids, women and men. I love the store easily can kill about 2hours in it looking around. They do have a great selection of stuff. I visit it everytime Im in the area and bring gifts from there back home. Only drawbacks its not cheap by anymeans and the staff is well hard to find. I been there a few times and staff doesnt go out of there way to help you out much. (reason for 4 instead of 5 star) I would recommend anyone up in Maine by this store to check it out, lots of cool stuff and worth it!

Brought my girlfriend there to check out some bowhunting gear and instead of just looking we ended up buying two used brand name bows that are perfect for us and had everything setup for us while we were there. I have been in sales for years and THAT was the perfect example of customer service! We saved hundreds of dollars and even after coming back home we priced some of the things we bought and everything was priced much less than here at home. Actually going back up today for more gear!!! Cant wait because it is well worth the drive from Manchester, NH to Kittery, ME and back.

I honestly love Kittery Trading Post however, I was extremely turned off by their website. Its almost mind blowing how little effort they are putting into it. I looked up a product and this was in the description, "In order to list as many products as possible, listings are simple - no pictures or description copy." Imagine going shopping on amazon where every picture is a generic cardboard box. I have purchased many items from Kittery but, I am extremely disappointed with their obvious lack of effort developing their website.

I just received my order and had a problem with it. I called the customer service number and have never been spoken to in such a rude manner. The company should train their employees in the true meaning of customer service, I am in the HR field and if I had an employee like that she would no longer be employed. I would not recommend buying anything online just in case there is a problem with it, you will not receive customer satisfaction.
