We love this pet store!! We have been at Fort Polk for 2 years, and we are so thankful we found this place. For a small store, they have a great assortment of animals and supplies. We have a bearded dragon and go here at least once a week for crickets and other supplies (sand, bulbs, vitamins, etc.). They have great prices. The guys that run it are very knowledgeable, nice, and extremely helpful. They go over and above to make sure youre happy. They get different exotic animals sometimes. We like to go in and see what new animals they have in the shop. They also boarded are beardie while we were on vacation. I cant say enough good things about this store!

The guys running this store are great and knowledgeable. They may not carry animals that are too exotic but they can get them if you make a request. Best place to get feeder mice as the price and quality are superb. I wouldnt recommend going to Wal-Mart style petsrores like Petco or Petsmart because they may sell the animals, but arent nearly as knowledgeable about them. The guys here, own the store. Once you meet them and talk with them, you can see that they have the passion for animals that this business requires.

Agree with previous poster. I bought 9 fish and 6 died within two days. We were told we can check your water which was done the day we purchased the fish. Was told, no dead fish in our tanks. Was made to feel no way is was a problem with the fish, had to be our tank even though we have other fish alive in the tank. We treated for fungus. PH, and amonia, fish showed slime on them. Was unfortunate they do not have a policy as with most pet stores as far as initial life of pet. Very knowledgeable staff.

I have 3 iridescent sharks and 2 sucker fish from there. I have had them for almost a year now and only lost one shark and it was due to him freaking out and slamming into side of tank and injured himself bad. Other than that all our fish are very healthy. Will definitely buy my fish from these really nice guys. They take amazing care of their animals and their customers.

I cant say enough about this pet store. The customer service is the best in DeRidder for any retail shop. Family and locally owned. The staff is beyond knowledgeable and go out of their way to help in every way they can. The animals and fish are always well stocked, healthy and well cared for. So worth a shopping trip

The only place I trust with my aquarium needs. Everytime I have visited them I was treated like family and given knowledgeable answer to my questions and 0 sales pitches. Fantastic prices and beautiful setups. Ill be pretty devastated when I have to move and lose them.

I just bought a small $4 gold fish here. It lived for 10 days and then died. They provide no warranty on their fish like most pet stores do. The man told me that if I purchased supplies for my tank he would "see" if he could get me a new gold fish. Beware.

Very very knowledgeable, and great prices!! Sweet guys that run the place always fill me in on ways to make my animals more comfortable. From guinea pigs to iguanas they know their stuff.
