I could geek out in this store forever. They had this Harry Potter display right when you walked in the front door that took me 10-15 minutes to get past (they had Harry Potter games, drinking cups, Pez dispensers, jigsaw puzzles, books box sets, coloring books, action figures, wands, etc. etc.). The middle aisle is a dream for anyone who loves reading & games & music & DVDs. They display all the most popular sets in very appealing formats on tables up the middle aisle almost all the way to the back of the store. There was even a table with popular books & movies related board games. Theres lots of Star Wars stuff & other great things. The back of the store has this wonderful artwork of books lined up to show the name of the store. There were also a lot of great book box sets. Every section in the store seemed well stocked & fairly priced. I had to ask questions about video gaming equipment & the guy seemed very knowledgeable, which I always prefer when talking to people about electronics. All of the employees seemed genuinely happy about their place of employment, which always makes customer service people pleasant to talk to & makes customers think better about a company. There is an excellent book clearance section in the back. I even found some New Orleans history & coffee table books back there. Outside of the door they have a free section - I imagine items that dont sell or have too many of. There was a 2 for $5 DVD sale when I was there last. One of my favorite places. The store is clean & easily accessible. It is a huge store with a huge parking lot.

Had some books to sell. I called ahead to find out what they were buying, then culled my books to reflect what I was told over the phone. I brought the books (about 25), placed them in a bin, and was told that they would have an offer in about 20 minutes. After an hour of waiting for my ticket number to be displayed on the screen, I asked how much longer it would be. At that point, they discovered that they had given me a ticket with a different number than was on my bin, and my bin number had been displayed for over 30 minutes. They gave me back most of the books, only purchasing 1 or 2. I got $1.00 for my hour of waiting--and no sort of apology, either. Goodwill is across the street; you get almost as much for your books, they are very pleasant, and they dont waste your time. To be fair, I have bought books here before, and the experience was fine. Prices and selection are great. Thats why I gave them 3 stars.

Ive tried selling books, video games, and walkmen three times. I was successful once, and that is when I brought a large suitcase full of books. I felt I received low to fair compensation for what I sold. I was told they buy no audio equipment, so the walkmen and cassette tapes were out. I called and was told they buy Atari games and console accessories (like joysticks and keypads). I brought the Atari ware in within 2 hours of calling, and they told me they have not purchased Atari goods for a few months. The layout of the store is nice, but they are overpriced and do not offer as large of a selection as other used book stores.

I brought in a few Hardcover art books before I considered bringing to Goodwill and included a rare book to see what they might offer. The total price offered in cash was 4.10! One of the books had a value of 100$ on Ebay in excellent condition and the one I was not going to part with had a value of 1,900$ on Ebay. She didnt have an explanation, but I kindly took the books back. Its a scam if youre selling, but a nice place to find used books and DVDs. I have a feeling their "researching" was clicking on Facebook while chowing on a burger!

I went into 2nd & Charles today with almost 40 books; all in brand new condition. Only one had a slight tear to the cover of the book. After waiting over an hour in a empty store for an estimate, I was told that they would give me $7 in cash or $20 in store credit. I find it absolutely ridiculous how they run their buy back program. 40 books are definitely worth more than $7, especially in excellent condition. I will never be visiting their store again.

This is a great store to buy books; comic books; manga; unique, hard-to-find toys and figures; music, including vinyl; and video games; music instruments... all new or used. You will be disappointed if you want to sell your used stuff. This is where they make their profit, so you will be paid very little and it will be sold later at a higher price. Bottom line, a great store for comic book/video game "nerds."

I love this store so much this is where I get most of my old video games like Halo Combat Evolved. All the people there awesome. I am into pokemon and I went there and I saw all these original Pokemon and I asked to look at the binder and Myles helped me find all the ones I like. Very pleased with his help.

Other than the fact that they dont have a Horror section (but they have every other imaginable section), i love it here. I could spend hours looking through the books and comics. They have a great selection of games, comics, books, vinyls, CDs, you name it. And the prices are hard to beat.

Sell your stuff elsewhere. Their pricing is so low as to not be worth the effort, even when getting store credit. The selection of merchandise is decent and youll find some interesting things. Ultimately, this is really just a walk in eBay for lazy people.

I heard about this place from a friend, so I decided to take a 2-hour drive to check it out. Their selection of merchandise was very impressive! By far my favorite place to find retro games and vinyl records. The drive was worth every penny! 5/5 STARS!!!

New and used books sold here. They also sell various gift items and some used video game equipment and games. Staff has been helpful the few times I have been there. There are also bins of free books out front. Prices on used items are reasonable.

This place is the place for everyone from book lovers alone to gamers. They buy and trade as well. They offer used items and new items as well. They are very trendy and have a lot of pop culture. This is my fave place on the northshore.

Good selection of used books and toys and lots of fun events. You wont make much selling your stuff to them, but its cash in hand and you dont have to pay for shipping, its a good alternative to Ebay for books, movies, and games.

This store is pretty awesome for a geek. They have a decent selection of just junk to fill your inner geek. They dont give decent money when it comes to turning stuff in but I honestly didnt really expect them to.

Nerd out. Comics, books, games, and collectibles. The staff is helpful and friendly if youre looking for something in particular. The prices are good for used items. I could spend hours here (and I have).
