A large variety of vegetables that are more frequently used in Korea and Japan go for considerably cheaper here than at your normal supermarket. Napa cabbage, for example, runs about $3.50 a head, when the same sized one would cost $12+ at Kroger. Everything is quite fresh and well priced. In addition to produce, they also provide a wide selection of canned goods, dry foods, prepared foods, Asian spices, rare meats and seafood (though frozen), Asian snacks, Asian candy, and even kitchen utensils and dishes. This has been my go to place for quite some time when needing to cook authentic Korean and Japanese dishes without breaking the bank on the foods. Only on the odd occasion will you ever walk in and no one is around. This happened only a few times, when the owner and staff were in the back. Otherwise, they are very friendly (if sometimes a little more stoic than youd expect from a store owner) and give you great value for what you spend. There is no alcohol sold here, as far as I can tell. If you are looking for soju, plum wine, or sake, sadly you will not find it here.

OMG These are the BEST people ever! My husband and bought a half a gallon of kimchee here, got it home and it tasted, well, not like kimchee. I dont know what was wrong with it, but it was some kind of premade stuff that gets shipped in I guess. Anyway, we brought it back to the store thinking the lady would refuse us a refund because we did have the receipt, but she was BEYOND NICE! This lady went out of her way to help us, and even replaced our two jars with a humongous jar of delicious kimchee, free of charge! From now on, this is the only asian market I will shop at! Thank you Seoul Supermarket!!

This place has been around for 27 years and for good reason. I had been there since college but I came into town for a visit I was so thrilled they were still there. They have a wonderful selection of teas ,candies, fresh fruits and vegetables thatt might be hard to find elsewhere, and lots of everyday items as well. They had an absolutely stunning tea cup set which I wish I gotten then. Totally worth the visit and a great way to support local businesses. Stop by ...even after being gone so long still found something new . :-)

Are you kidding me? Very small place? Of course it is, its Korean and in Lexington. Last time I checked there wasnt a huge Korean population in Lexington and you wont find 99% of the stuff here in a Krogers or especially (gag) in a redneck Walmart. Did you actually think you were in a Walmart in Seoul because youre tripping Ashley. Great spot to shop in if youre looking for Korean / Asian stuff. Yu-Yu rocks as well.

I say! This store was quite awesome! authentic asian stuff :) Me and my friends went in there and had a blast! The stuff is cheap..BUT good quality :D I went in with 20 bucks and come out with alot of stuff XD but all in all good! dishes, candy, noodles, kimichi, and etc. go there! its a great place and a nice owner :)

Fantastic hidden gem in Lexington! The owners are so polite and helpful. There is a great variety of all types of Asian necessities and special treats. I like to stop in and grab some Kimchi and ready made side dishes for a super quick dinner!

Good selection of Korean and Japanese food. Not sure of all prices but bit pricey for few products which you will get in other superstores as well. The size of the shop is not big as name says. Staff is good.
