This used to be the go to store for my family. Yesterday changed that. About two weeks ago I noticed a staff change and I was not comfortable with the way I felt while there. I was with my 16 year old and bought him the game he wanted a Mature game. I felt intense questioning was more than ever in the previous years in making the purchase. Since I had bought a Mature game with him only a few days before in Lexington, with no hassle. Yesterday, my son wanted to exchange the game he got a few days before with his father. His 25 year old brother and 21 year old girlfriend went to be the adults to do the exchange. They were also purchasing a game. Sales clerk refused to let them do the exchange because the 16 year old was present. She then hassled them about their purchase. Years ago when the store opened I went to see the manager to see if the brother could be the adult for all transactions or did I or Dad need to be present. I was told by him that as along as an adult was making the transaction there was no problem. New girl has decided this is wrong because the 16 will be using the game. I went back to the store with them. I pointed out it was none of her concern and she said unless 25 year old is legal guardian he cant do the transaction. I said as long as an adult is there making transaction what goes on outside her door is none of her business. She said it is the law. WELL she is wrong. She fought me buying the darn game too. I am 55 years old if I want let the kid play the game isnt that my choice not hers?

I have noticed the change in staff as well. Most of the people here are very mean, but there is one girl that works here that is probably one of the best workers Ive ever met in gaming! Called in my nintendo 3ds all the way from a northern kentucky store and put it on hold for 3 days once it had arrived. Great worker! BUT she has to be the only nice one there

Nice Employees, Took 3 Days For My Game To Arrive But I Found It At Lexington For A Lower Price, But It Was Pre Owned But Was Clean And Working. The Game I Got Was Prototype For Ps3, Then A Week Later, I Bought Modern Warfare 2 For Ps3 And It Worked. I Am Prestige 1, Level 21. Thanks GameStop! :D

Was told that I could bring in a specific game in for 15$ which was badly needed for gas to get to work and back and they charged me 5$ for a refurb fee, I remember a time when GameStop was a safe haven for gamers, now its just a rip off

thick as thieves at this store, if you want anything exclusive you better work there because customers come second to them. the worst store in lexington is better than this store on its best day.
