OK Game Store. Pros: Retro selection is pretty sweet. The people who run the store are knowledgeable and friendly. The have bins to rummage through. Cons: They are rather expensive. Do your homework before you go on prices. So I have been going to this store for a while and its been Good. Bought some cheap sports games, got some Sega Gen games for a decent price, but this last visit I took a "deal" from the sales/cashier person that seemed good, but ended up no so much. I had a bit of a question about one of the retro consoles and turns out the system was "under priced" because of a overlooked feature. Ended up buying it. While I was checking out the controller he was giving me was obviously jacked so I asked for a replacement. He said they only had off brand controllers for replacing, so I went for it. What I did not know until I got home was that they also put in off brand cables. Not to mention that every screw on the bottom of the case was loose, and there was a crack on the case. Great. I settled with the units quality, as I was dumb for not checking it before I bought it, but I thought the cables were an honest mistake an I would go down and get them exchanged. A quick call to the store the following day and I found out that it was not a mistake, they didnt have any cables to exchange, and they where "becoming hard to come by". A quick internet search later, and I found out that I paid about 25% more for an item that was in worse shape than most of the internet offerings available. Bummer... 3 Stars cause the sales guy knew he was giving me a bum deal. TL;DR Thought I was getting a good deal, but it turns out I was not. Could have been avoided if I would have been less dumb. Will probably still go to the store, but will not be so dumb next time.

As someone who works at a retro gaming store, I understand how everything works and frankly, these guys got it pretty down pat. Yeah, they are going to give you less on sports game(they are terrible games and a new one is made every few months) and on other games. But games are priced by how badly people want them and thats okay! You arent going to get $20 for Mario 3 when thats how much it usually goes for, give or take. Gamers has never done me wrong since ive been going to them and that started back in like...2006 in Carrolton. I got my amiibo reader at Gamers before they even came out in America. Yeah, I work at a retro game store but every retro game store is different. We dont have something? I go or send my customers to Gamers. In fact, im going on the 4th to see what they have. Now you want to talk about a store that rips you off and has prices that are too high? 2nd and Charles is that kind of place. No Pokemon game is worth $50 and Soul Silver and Heart Gold comes damn close, but none of the ones before them are that much. Never get ripped off. Visit Gamers or Super Gater Gamz. Ill vouch for both.

Employees are extremely knowledgeable on most every product in both of their locations. I have done a lot of business with them though they are only a recent discovery of mine. The prices are great. The people who are complaining that their prices are too high simply do not understand that this is a BUSINESS. Im so sorry you cant purchase your sports game for $1. Go on Ebay and order it for a dollar, then pay $2-4 in shipping and act like you got a better deal. Of coarse you should research what you are interested in purchasing, especially when it comes to SNES, GENESIS, etc. Just because you want to trade in your obscure game doesnt mean your obscure game is going to be worth money. Yes, you may have a $10 game thats hard to find however, if its going to be a game with a limited audience, of coarse they need to own it cheap enough to move it faster. I have no complaints at all with how they do business. Very kind people who are just making a living by giving us the technology that we know and love. Just keep in mind that they are a BUSINESS. Paying $1 for a game doesnt keep their lights on.

I have watched this store open in Carrollton, move to a location across town in C-Ton, then (much to my disappointment), move nearly 20 mins. down the road to Villa Rica. We still make that drive at least once a month, though, as they have been really good to us over the years. Great trade in value (so much better than GameStop), great selection of the newest systems and retro gold, and great great service. The people working there will be realistic with you about any and all games, and I feel like I have never made an uninformed purchase from them. But note-YOU DO ACTUALLY HAVE TO TALK WITH THEM (you know, like a real conversation?). Really, go to Gamers. Right now. Got it?

Their prices are higher than most game stores. Even a sports game you could get for $.99 at another store, it would be either $2.99 or $4.99...They rip you off on trades too. One time they offered me $2 for a VERY obscure SNES game. Theyve gone up EVEN HIGHER since Ive been back there. I have been a customer since 2002, and I must say this place has gone downhill through the years. In 2009, they had all kinds of Black Friday specials. In 2010, it was just "10% Off All PreOwned Games". Wow, really? Seriously? The workers are nice though most of the time. Good prices on DVDs though.

I traded in my old PS3 for store credit today. My 10 year old daughter is autistic and the store staff was very accommodating and fast considering how busy the store was. They also gave me $60 worth of store credit for PS3. Gamestop was only offering $40. This mom and pop gaming store is an excellent alternative to corporately run places that offer you much less for your trade ins. I highly recommend checking gamers out. They also offer vintage games if youre into that.

I have been to this store about a dozen times and about 6 or 7 times I have traded in merchandise with them. Let me just say that first off, every time I have been there, the service has been great. The staff greets me and is knowledgeable about almost every item, and I have always been pleased with the amounts I get for my trade ins. I recommend this store to video game lovers in the West Georgia Area.

Place is great. I go for all of my gaming needs : a) because its closest to me and b) because the service is amazing. These guys are great, and will recommend games if you tell them what you like. Prices are about average on most items. You wont pay any more or less getting them from Walmart or GameStop. However, Gamers, unlike GameStop, is extremely fair with the store credit you get for trade ins.

to the guys saying they ripped you off because they gave you less for a game, they go on how high in demand is the game. sports games, racing games, and other games of the lot wont get you much, because theyre not high sellers. even games for consoles/handhelds that arent played much anymore (psp, older DSs, and so on) your games will be less also.
