I dont know how they exspect to sell anything, my boyfriend and i went in late last night wanting to look around; i wasnt interested in purchasing anything at first but i found the cutest hamster i was truley wanting to hold and determine whether i wanted him or not... I was told no i couldnt hold him, ive had a hamster before i know some bite; so of course i wasnt going to purchase him. If i cant hold what im about to buy then im not purchasing it. Then to top it off the youngest girl working stayed behind us like watching us as if we were gonna steal something. We were the only people in the store and all she was doing was straightening lables to face forward like she was just fittle farting around trying to hover. The previous owners were much more welcoming. Ive bought many pets from jacks aquarium; but im no longer bringing my service there.

Worst service in the world. Ashely the assistant manager is horrible. Called because I bought two $80 flea and tick collars. I attempted to buy two large and the salesperson said they only had a one and a small. The lady asked details of the dogs and assured me the small would protect my puppy for 8 months. It did not. Now two months later he is growing out of it and it only protects his upper half and they could only offer me %10 off a large one. $7 discount on an $80 product. Just get your dog food ect. elsewhere they have poor selection and poor service dont imagine theyll be open long. Most of these good reviews are from when it was still jacks pets. (Went to pet smart shared my experience, they gave me $30 off the same product. Pup is doing great now)

I always enjoy being welcomed to Jacks by your staff, and today, somebody possibly saved my Cavy/Guinea Pig from my ignorance as a new owner. Despite my research on Guinea pigs, I hadnt read a lot about toys and exercise, so I wasnt sure if an exercise ball would be ideal, and thankfully after asking one of your associates, they told me that exercise balls are actually bad for Guinea Pigs because it can hurt their spines and feet. Im still not sure why Jacks Pets would sell these things, especially with a Cavy pictured on the packaging, but Im glad that your associates care enough to be honest and I really respect that. I plan on returning to purchase an exercise pen instead, but I would like to read up more to see what my best options are.

The fish are not inexpensive and I have 20% die off. They will replace the fish within a week if you bring in the dead fish if there is anything left. The people taking care of the fish have no clue as to what they are doing only there to sell fish they must be on a co mission of some sort. They have no clue as to what fish are aggressive or non aggressive. Been told multiple times that I can mix the two (which makes my aggressive fish happy but makes for expensive fish food). I have better luck at Meijer and the cost is much less and the help there does not know anything but at least they will tell you they have no idea.

Smells absolutely disgusting as soon as you walk in the door. I almost walked right back out but really need things for my guinea pigs. Asked an employee about some of the things for guinea pigs and they were extremely unknowledgable about it as in they had no clue what they were talking about. Tried to sell me things that werent even for guinea pigs. Just absolutely terrible and will not be going back.

I have a very large dog that is hard to bathe at home. We have come here many times, the workers have all been great. We walked in with 4 dogs and they were still friendly and helpful. I read the review about the smell and have to say that when you walk into a groomers, it smells like wet dog. While they are not groomers, they allow is to wash our dogs there so its bound to smell like wet dog.

May 20, 2017. Horrible staff. Two female workers there kept following me around as if I was going to steal. I was returning an item and a blonde female worker wouldnt leave my side until the item was back on the shelf. I felt discriminated against and I will be sure to let everyone know since no one should ever feel this way.

No concept of how animals should live comfortably. Fish tanks too small and overcrowded, dead fish laying on bottoms of tanks. Too small living areas for guinea pigs, ferrets, and mice. I refused to buy anything from there once I saw this. Also aisles are too small, wondering if ada compliant.

Was unable to get any help. Appeared to be only one person working. This was my second time to this store and not impressed. Was really disappointed that there is very very very few items for anything besides dogs and cats.

Manager Ashley made my experience here extremely uncomfortable, and was quite rude. Selection is very limited. If it wasnt for the clerks, I would have quit coming here a long time ago.
