We have always found the staff at the Grinnell Walmart to be very considerate and customer service-oriented. One time we couldnt find an odd item, and the employee worked diligently to determine whether it was something they had in stock, and to find it for us. Another time, they were very helpful to our daughter with her bicycle. Recently, we were out-of-state, but our daughter was still in Grinnell, and she needed something ordered and delivered to the store for pick-up. We called to see if they would also handle assembly of the item for her, and they not only said that they would, but also that it would be done for free. While we have had varying experiences at other Walmarts, we have always had very pleasant experiences dealing with the one in Grinnell. Thank you.

Very rude cashier/clerk at Self Checkout stand. I needed help with an item that I had double-scanned & asked her to come over. She actually huffed & had that look on her face of "these customers are nothing but trouble" & then proceeded to tell me how impatient we are (very patronizingly!!) in waitinf for the 1st scanned item to register. I apologized to her for needing help. She fixed the problem & returned to her post. She is one of the contributory reasons I have for only going to Walmart because I have no other choice. It is a lousy shopping experience, thanks in part to the "associates" attitude.

Because I get my meds there, workers are friendly and helpful. If youre wondering around and they see you and ask if you need help. If you dont know where to find something, just ask any worker. They have a good food selection and freezer foods. Sometimes foods you wont find in regular grocery stores. Lots of equipment, home necessities, music options of sorts, fabrics you wont find in town, just lots of things you wouldnt have to go out of town for.

I regularly come here about twice a month for the last 2 years. And I finnaly have become fed up with the fact that not a much as two registers are open at any point in the day. And the shelves are never stocked and u constantly get bruises on my shins because of unattended crates that seem to never be unloaded and stocked like the way they should. In conclusion I would rather drive to desmoines Wal-Mart

First it didnt have an everyday winter item and then I stood at checkouts for a very long period of time before I decided to call the store and ask if they were open. I asked to talk to a manager, which she said she was the manager. She came over and checked me out-not one apology, not did you find everything okay, not even thank you for shopping at Walmart.

Its a Super Walmart that has all your usual needs and then some. What more needs to be said. Its in a small town setting so youll get your interesting crowd like all Walmarts but you probably wont see as many as you would living in a large city. Its open 24 hours and its a solid Walmart as Walmarts come.

Customer service in this place sucks. Most employees have crappy attitudes. The selection of things could be better, but its a one stop shop. If I just need groceries, I go to Hy-Vee, they have great selection and top notch customer service.

Worst customer service of any Walmart Ive ever been too. Cant find a single employee to ask a question to and when you spend 20 minutes tracking one down, they are insanely rude. Lets not even get started on checkout times.

Overwhelmed with their hike in price here in Grinnell same food and hygiene products that are sold at Walmart in other non college towns are 20% to 30% retail mark up . This to say the least is concerning .

Decent Wal-Mart, some of the employees can be quite rude while others are very nice. At times the store itself is rather cluttered, shelf and aisles, and can be hard to maneuver around.
