I bought a 5 lb. box of Gorilla Burgers yesterday. The box had no date and asked the young man behind the counter about that. He said, "It doesnt need one, I sell them so quickly." I then mentioned that they had a "large amount of ice crystals." He told me that was "because they freeze them so fast." When I got home and opened the package, the burgers were freezer burned. That didnt happen "quickly." The man lied to my face. They had been in that freezer a long time. I have recently moved back to this part of Indiana after being gone for 20 years. I used to like Beef Mart. But there is a new generation running it apparently...one without honesty. I will never again buy anything from them and will tell everyone I know about my experience with Beef Mart.

I love this place. Their prices are good and the meat is tasty. They will slice things to order. And I love that I can call ahead and its always ready to be picked up when I say. Also, the staff is super helpful when I have no clue what cut of meat I should get. You should also try the Baked potato salad. My favorite!

My family has gone to Beef Mart for almost my entire life. The meat has gotten fairly terrible the past couple years. I made a swap over to Meijer which somehow has an amazing meat department. I was done with the grisly and super fatty meat.

Bought 8 lbs of corned beef & it was the worst i ever had. Will never shop there again. Not to mention OVER PRICED!

Thats good that its still there and a good place to get meat. It was good back in the 60s and 70s.
