Service...left a bad taste...I went into the store on Feb 20, 2012 (Presidents Day) to purchase a small bistro type dinette set and possibly a sectional. I paid for the dinette set and scheduled for it to be delivered the following day. When the set arrived, it was the wrong one and the guys that delivered it initially werent even going to set it up. Maybe because they saw a man there and assumed he could set it up. I dont know. The delivery guys were quite argumentative with my fiancee when he adamantly informed them that it was not the right set. I went into the store on the same day on my lunch hour for a refund and/or the possibility of purchasing another dinette or put the money towards a sectional. The owner (who could use some skills on customer service as well) wasnt very sympathetic to my situation. Apparently, the set in the color I ordered was discontinued and from what I understood, the manufacturer failed to inform "Furniture Fashions". Okay, I can accept that but when the owner tried to recall the particular set that I ordered, his exact words were "the cheapy set", "stuff happens", didnt give very much eye contact and wasnt very apologetic. If I were the owner of a furniture store, I would certainly not refer to anything I was trying to sell as "cheapy", no matter how much it cost. I wasnt offered a discount or anything of the like for my inconvenience and I was given the impression that he couldnt care less if I bought anything or not. That was the 3rd store I visited in person that day besides several places on-line before I decided to buy at their store. The selling point was that it wasnt far from home. I dont know about anyone else, but before I buy, I check out a couple of places first. If I had a good experience at a particular furniture store, then that store will most likely be my first stop when looking to purchase another piece. I talked to the owners wife, Lisa, who seemed nice enough and I informed her that I saw the dinette set at another store and that I will check to see if they had some on hand still. I told her that we were still thinking about the sectional and as soon as I dealt with the dinette issue, I would get back with her. I called Furniture Fashions the next day to see if they could look up the model # of the said dinette set so that I could inquire at another store. Whoever the guy was that answered the phone was very rude and abrupt. I asked the question I needed and he replied, "I have no idea what that is. You will have to call back tomorrow at 2:30 to talk to Lisa. Thank you." And, hung up on me before I could even take a breath to ask another question. Albeit true, there are other furniture stores out here and maybe my business would not have made a difference to them then. However, I can pretty much bet most people are in business to be as successful as they can possibly be. Customer service keeps people coming back, not always the product or services provided. HATE................ is such a strong word and that is not the rating I care to give, but since its my only choice under "1" (one) star, which is what I would like to give, then so be it. That star goes to "Lisa" because she is left with the job to attempt to compensate for everyone elses lack of customer service. She was the highlight of the whole situation. I could have felt differently about the whole deal if any effort was made. He made me feel like it was personal so there may be some underlying issues. You would think that because I am a first time customer, it would behoove them to give me great service like this person "Jacquelyn" below so that I may come back or tell a friend. My job, Housing Management, could have brought loads of business alone. The best advertisement is word of mouth and this place left a bad taste in mine! Ms. Bright

My name is Lakeisha here is my store. Ive been going without a stove for 3 days, I got up and went to about 4 different stores there on 10th st. Everyone was hateful or they couldnt help me cause they only sold furniture NO appliances I was so upset and literally in tears. I stopped at Furniture Fashions I walked in and I didnt make it but 5 feet to turn back around to leave cause I noticed it was all furniture a lady came towards me. As I was turning asked "if she could help me" I said "no" thanks she ask "what i was in need of" I told her I have been everywhere trying to find a stove one place was flat out rude and said this is a furniture store not a appliance store wont mention the names but will say i was on 10th st. The whole time another store they had one but it was REAL dirty and the price was insane and the other just totally ignored me when I was in there. The lady looked at me and smiled and asked if i needed a hug. The lady I have never meet hugged me and I felt the best spirit from her she said "if you go down Bosart to Michigan go right, got to grant there is a Appliance store there on the corner" I never felt the way I felt that day. All my sadness was gone I looked and saw this nice bedroom suit and ask her a few questions about it. I thanked her so much and told her I will be back in a few days let me talk to my husband, she said " have a nice night and be safe" I asked what her name was and I left. i went to the car and told my husband where to go and went inside the store. He got out of the car we went inside the store and purchased a $700.00 bedroom suit and a new mattress. This is the first place in all my 53 years that got us to buy something we wasnt even shopping for. So with my story said you all out there can say I highly recomend this store. My name is Jacquelyn, I have been shopping with Steve for over 10 years. He has the best deals in town and no one can beat their lay-a-way schedule. If he doesnt have what you want in the store then there are several magazines to go through. The furniture he sells is top quality and the gentlemen that deliver and assemble are always very polite and efficient and do an exellant job leaving your house as they found it, completely cleaned up. I recommend this store all the time. I will be going in soon to put a chase on lay-a-way. The only way this store could be better is if i could order online. Hello Steve, how are ya? How is your wife? Be in to see ya soon. I need mattresses!!!!!!

I have been going shopping at furniture fashion for 10 years Ive had 2 different living room suits my last vist was 2 -7-13 I was greeted by Steve and he showed me everything and was very helpful then his wife Lisa came in and he said Lisa this is Jasmine ; introduced us right of the bat he asked if she could continue helping me because he had to do a delivery. Just remeber this everyone has a bad day but look at the overview they have been there for 22 years and me and my whole family have been going there for over 12 years I highly recommend this place just remember we are all human (:
