Dont really know why everyone is raving about this place. Went inside and tried to order food, only to be told that they only have a smattering of snack foods available, and the menu board had been erased, so we couldnt even look at the scant amount of offerings they did have. They even had the gall to recommend Starbucks if we were wanting food. Didnt even attempt to interest us in their coffee, which is supposedly their one good selling point. There are too many other great coffee shops in Indianapolis to waste your time here.

I went in looking for coffee filters for my chemex. There were two people working. They never said hello to me or the three other people I was with. They didnt offer help finding the filters I was looking for. When I put my things on the counter, they never spoke to me. Not even to tell me my total. Ill give them a few stars because I didnt have to buy my filters online. I dont know of any other place who sells these filters. Ill probably just buy them online next time.

This place isnt my favorite spot as far as cafes are concerned but its a great place to buy some locally roasted beans. And when I say locally roasted, I mean Im pretty sure they are being roasted on location. This place supplies coffee for some great places around town including Goose the Market and 3 Days in Paris. So stop by, grab a bag of coffee and a coffee to go and have yourself a wonderful afternoon.

Love this place! Great coffee for home, amazing drinks including specialty cappuccinos, teas, teas made as a latte (try the tumeric chai tea made as a latte!), pour overs, chemex... Endless list! The best thing I can say for this place, besides great coffee and staff...? A sign in the place says it all: "We see coffee as culinary." Yes they do, and they take it serious. Come see what a real barista can do!

Bee Roasters, in downtown Indy, is a great place to get a cup of coffee or latte as well as some freshly roasted beans. This location is both a cafe and the actual roastery, hence the smell. The selection of beans is great at this location. They offer espresso, pour over, as well as some food items. At the location, look for the Bee on the window, as the sign above the store doesnt exactly match.

The 8 oz. latte (cappuccino) I had in late Dec. 2013 was amazing. The flavor was rich and smoooooth, no aftertaste and even though the drink was strong, it was good. Latte art was quickly forgotten after tasting this drink. The drink was similar to the one you might find at a specialty coffee shop in Manhattan. Update: excellent cappuccino again in March 2015.

The best tasting coffee Ive ever had in my life. Seriously, this place made me go from dumping a bunch of sugar and cream into coffee to make it palatable, to drinking it straight and enjoying the flavor for what it is. Theres nothing quite like in-house roasted, freshly ground, flavorful Ethiopian coffee thats hot from the 4-minute manual pour-over technique.

This is some of the best coffee Ive had in Indiana. I had their Ethiopian coffee as a pour over as well as a latte. Both were incredibly good, especially the pour-over. Their blueberry muffins are amazing, too. The atmosphere was good and the place was pretty clean. All in all, I will definitely "Bee" (excuse the pun) going back all the time.

This is an excellent Mom & Pop All American coffee shop. Im currently waiting on cranberry nut muffins to come from the oven.... Yup they make their goodies every day. The other place by here doesnt, Thiers come frozen on a truck. So support your local Mom & Pop business instead of the Corporate megastores

My absolute favorite coffee shop ever. "Starbucks who??" Lol. I am addicted to the salted carmel latte and have went through about 3 punch cards worth this year! The service is always friendly and swift. I send all my out-of-towners here just to show off the best coffee the city offers.

My Cortado was great. The barista pulled a properly extracted shot with a perfectly textured milk. The espresso had subtle chocolate and hazelnut notes, with very little bitterness. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Dont be put off by the location, they have great coffee.

One of the best kept secrets of the northwest side. This place makes wonderful coffee. The staff is knowledgeable about their different roasts and brewing methods. The breakfast sandwiches are one of my favorite things here, be sure to ask for the jelly on your sandwich!

Best coffee in Indianapolis. The coffee is roasted on location. The baristas brew each cup fresh (no stale brew), so plan accordingly if you are in a rush. The result however is a truly rich and intricate cup of coffee that you cannot get at the chain establishments.

Many coffee options including pour overs. Staff was very courteous and knowledgeable about their products. This place has upped their game so if you havent been in a awhile, definitely worth a trip. If I lived closer, it would be my regular spot.

I stop on 2-3 times a week on my way to work for an iced mocha. Normally is 5+ stars but today the barista was less than friendly and didnt fill the top 1 inch of the drink. Hoping the "regular" staff are back soon!

Hands down the best coffee in Indianapolis. Tries their "Dr. Tim" specialty cappuccino today and it was a perfect balance of sweet and bitter, mellowing the flavor of the espresso without masking it.

We came to hear what all of the "buzz" was about and we were not disappointed! Delicious mochas! Great flavor with a very relaxed environment. They take pride in their coffee. You should "Bee" here!

Great little coffee shop, the pour over coffee is delicious. Quiet, hole-in-the-wall coffee shop. Worn in couches, comfy spot to enjoy a cup of coffee and a good book.

A nice cozy cafe with a lot of interesting options. The Cappuccino with lavender and honey tastes good. And they do sell their coffee products.

Was very impressed by the coffee and how well the barista talked with the clients. Felt a lot more like a family than it did a business.

Good drinks, fun staff, and cool art. I come here very regularly. They arent open late, though, so this is pre-work coffee.
