I brought my vehicle in for service at 7:45 a.m., on a weekday, the SERVICE department opens at 7:30 a.m. I emphasize service because it is the department that will work on your vehicle if something is not functioning properly. I approach the front desk, explain what is going on with my vehicle, and they said, sure, its going to be about an hour to fix the issue, because the techs do not come in until 8:00 a.m. and they have an oil change waiting on them. I find this kind of bizarre because isnt the point of a service department, to have service technicians there when your SERVICE department is open, in order to repair a vehicle? Hence service department? I accepted their reasoning for not being able to satisfy the issue and decided to just come back on another day when I could get there a little later to allow time for a tech to be present in order to fix my car. So I returned a few days later, I arrive at 8:45 a.m. I again, approach the front desk, and explain the problem, he was very quick to tell me that it would be about 30-40 minutes because there is only ONE tech, and he is doing an oil change. Really? ONE TECH? at 8:45 a.m.? At this point I was a little aggravated at their apparent lapse in judgement concerning scheduling and or demand. My advice: Renners does not have express service, they do not schedule appropriately, or for that matter logically. My experiences with Renner Ford-Honda have been definitely less than stellar, the sales and parts department meets the same bar of disappointment. I recommend visiting a Honda dealership perhaps in Indianapolis or Louisville if you are wanting something done in a quality, convenient manner.

I brought my Honda Odyssey van in many times for service and never had a problem. When I came in to trade in - finance guy, Randy, had a huge issue. First he refused to accept my financing. Yes, I actually walked in with financing with a company he works with. He mentioned not liking to work with that company and those people. He then said my financing wouldnt cover everything. I left, called and checked with the finance company and everything was covered. Went back and had to explain to him what the abbreviations on the finance paper work actually meant - like he didnt know? He was seriously not wanting me to purchase a vehicle - what kind of finance guy does this? He finally got the paperwork done with the stipulation my husband had to come in to sign the van title over in front of him, instead of me having my husband sign at home. It felt like he thought my husband wouldnt be happy I was trading in a van jointly owned and buying my own vehicle. Whole thing felt very sexist. Husband did go in next day and signed over the title and Randy refused to shake his hand. Whole finance experience was very horrible. Salesman who helped me with picking a car and letting me test drive - was great. Gentleman who did my trade in agreement - was great. Only issue was the finance guy. My new vehicle runs great - no problems, but unfortunately because of this finance guy, I will not be doing business with this company again. And I would suggest you get financing before you walk in with Capital One because he will not have them as an option for you, only local banks.

Melissa McIntosh in the collision center is amazing she has completely gone above and beyond all service you can get from any business in Columbus IN. She has a plethora of knowledge to walk us through the entire processes step by step and tell us what we need to do next. She did almost all of the corresponding with Lincoln Client Relations and the Insurance adjuster (multiple times) for us! Most important of all (at least for us) Melissa has been a the voice of reason & a calming shoulder to lean on for moral support through the entire process. If anyone needs a collision repaired go see her!! Although their collision center rocks I would not advise anybody to attempt to buy a car from here. You probably couldnt succeed even if you wanted to even with cash in hand. We bought & financed our Lincoln over the phone from Columbus OH while only seeing it on an online listing much easier than trying to get keys to look at a car on the lot here. Its the only car lot you can go to looking to buy a car and not be able to get a single sales person to acknowledge you or even be willing to sell you a car. You could walk in the show room just like we did and loudly ask does anyone wanna make a sale today?!? Only to have it fall upon deaf ears and not have a single person even look up and in your direction..

If there is a second place in Columbus that I can get OEM parts/service from, I would never visit them. The front desk lady is not friendly at all, she pretended to be friendly, called twice today trying to schedule a service, first time she was saying honda service line is busy and I said I will call back later. after 1 hour I called back again she said no-one was there and asked me to leave my name and phone number so that they will call me back. As expected, I did not get the phone call back (not the first time), The team is horrible. I just changed my mind, I will order parts online or go with after market parts. BUT, the old gentleman who drove me to my office the other day was very friendly. The guy in the parts department ( around age of 40-50) was rude as hell, I asked one more question and he was like "if you dont want it just give me your card back and I will refund you", Whats the heck.I like honda product but renner motor? We bought a excellent used Honda Certified van here last week and we had an amazing experience. It was the excellent no hassle sales experience like you usually dont get these days. Greg Erdman got us a great deal on a really nice clean vehicle. Everything was represented accurately over the phone which was important because we were driving two hours to see a vehicle that we had found online. Greg stayed after they were closed to help me check out the vehicle. It was really above and beyond "old school" honest service. We went with our own financing, but they offered to try and beat it and they did with a much lower interest rate which saves us a lot of money. We also had a super quick check out process with a friendly financing manager inside. We had great experience here and Im sure you will too.

Great, hard-working staff from sales to finance. Renner was patient and did not pressure us as we looked for a used vehicle to replace our old Honda (also purchased at Renners) with a 2012 Ford Fusion. Scott Babb worked with us to get the best deal possible (new tires, transmission flush) on the vehicle. We searched around the Indianapolis area and Renner by far had the best prices and most courteous and non-invasive staff. Overall, staff is friendly and works well together. They had no hesitation in working with local autmobile mechanics in the area, and had no problem with driving the vehicle down the street to get it checked out by a third party of our choice. We really appreciated the local experience here in Columbus.
