Very small store with not a lot of good product in it. They have a very small selection of items but are very basic and low quality. It was very apparent that some of the employees were not very tech savy. They knew the lingo but did not know hardware issues or compatibility match up problems. They insisted on selling me items that I had no need for and very plainly told them that I didnt want. Overall, the store needs improvement. Unfortunately little stores like this are a dying breed due to problems just like this. Response: My review is based off my experience with the store so yes I do have a basis for my review. A prideful attitude toward the customer is a poor approach. I was not insulting in my review if anything you should be more apt to thank someone that gives a low review. In your response you should inquire as to what steps you should take to improve. You are not a perfect store and nor will you ever be. Criticism should be welcomed by you with open arms and you should look at it as constructive. My name is not in your data base your correct. Simply because I did not buy anything from you. You simply did not have what was needed. Your selection was small and the quality of the product is on the lower end. Congratulations on your 30th anniversary however, if you were excelling in your business you would not be in a renovated house with minimal parking and having your customers entering in through the back door. You have to think about how you are presenting yourself as a business and due to your response and email that you sent me. Your prideful and arrogant attitude will keep you on the low end of the business spectrum. Good luck with your business and hopefully you continue to survive in the computer industry.

Went here because my computer would just "shut down" and start up over and over on my Mac. Came here, they "ran" their test and said i need a new Hard Drive. Tim Explained why i supposedly needed a new hard drive and that if i got a new SSD hard drive its " like a brand new computer" is what i was told. Got that and it lasted 6 days. Took it back and Time said i had "too much" storage on it, so we installed a 1 TB hard drive. That lasted literally 5-7 mins. Called back then he said could be your motherboard but not sure. I called Apple they told me to take it to a certified apple company which i did and he ran a test saying it was my video card. PC Com NEVER told me at the start like they should have, so i paid for a hard drive i didnt need and then i had to pay another company to properly run a test to tell me what was wrong. Spent over $450 for someone to tell me my computer is in bad shape. PC Com is greedy and obviously didnt know anything about the problem my Mac had, they just wanted easy money.

The only place to go for your PC needs! After a catastrophic crash of my desktop Tim and Phil went above and beyond to get me up and running. When it became apparent that replacing my 1st Gen iCore-7 was needed, they offered numerous options to fit my needs. To stay within my price-point and get the best bang for the buck, they re-used my good 1000W power supply, blu-ray payer, card reader, and 2 1Tb hard drives allowing me to stay in budget but get the upgraded processor and 32g RAM I was looking for. As this had critical business files...they instantly jumped into action that same day. These guys know how to create customer value! As they are a small business and do not get the big volume discounts big box stores may get, I was very pleased to see their reasonable pricing. Great service...great prices...I am one highly satisfied customer!

I have dealt with these people on several occasions. I bought an excellent used computer from them that lasted until viruses pretty much decimated the system. When I decided to buy a new one they gave me excellent advice on buying a new one and helped me set it up. When I have needed follow up advice (I am a tech idiot), they have shown me how to solve my problems. They have done all this at prices that are more than fair. Although Im sure they are all good, I have dealt with Phil and I would rank him tied for first with a fellow who used to have a business in Beech Grove when it comes to knowledge and patience in dealing with me. There is only one negative about them and that is that they dont have weekend hours. That said, I would recommend them to anyone with computer issues or questions. Too bad that the highest ranking is only five stars.

The fan on my laptop went out. I had the part number off the fan because my father (who works in the computer field) opened the laptop up and wrote down the number for me. I was calling around, getting price quotes, and after atleast 2 other places I called this place. The guy who answered the phone told me I had to come in because the number I had was wrong, even though I told him Id gotten it straight from my fan. He argued with me, said it wasnt done right, when NO ONE ELSE had any problems looking it up and giving me a quote. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I DID NOT do business with them, because obviously no one wants to continue to deal with a company that would argue and call their customers liars.

I was referred here a couple years ago for some repairs I needed for my desktop and laptop, and now I also use them to custom build new computers - Ive never had a bad experience. Phil, Tim and Anna are all amazing - even though they are busy, they always take the time to explain what your options are, and when your computer is ready to pick up, they show you what theyve done and make sure it is working to your satisfaction before you have to pay. They always call first before installing something that costs more than what they estimated, and they are often done even before they say they will be. I happily recommend them to everyone I know.

Place is dingy, underkept and just generally a mess. Prices are way off the charts, and they seem to have difficulty with the simple repairs. This is just another one of those places where if reinstalling windows doesnt fix it, they just cant fix it. There are better shops to go to, with alot better prices. Try searching for Techmedix, or computer express. These two shops know what they are doing. Techmedix, seems to have lower prices, but has a longer turn around time, about 7 buisness days. However, the plus for them is they fact that they can do board level repairs, and save you a lot on parts. $1.50 cap, vs $250. board.

I have been going to the family owned business at PC-COM (Avon, IN) for the past 3 years. I have had terrific service each and every time, but my most recent visit inspired me to tell others just how great they are. I have been taking my home theater projector to them for service and repairs. This last time, I thought the projector was beyond repair, but PC-COM figured out the issue and brought it back to life once again. I send my great appreciation to PC-COM and encourage everybody to give them a try on their computer (or projector) service/repair needs. I will be a customer for life, and you will too! -FK
