I was accused of stealing at this location for no good reason. I bought a $120 distance measurer with laser tech for my grandfather who passed away over a year ago, the item was never opened. I didnt have a receipt. However I know for a fact Menards takes back items without receipts. My uncle is a contractor and he has returned items for more than $200. Moving on, I talked to the guy at the return desk (I didnt mention the item was a year old) I gave him the distance measurer, and he took it to the back, then came around and told me that he would be giving it to security, and that Id have to produce a receipt. In other words he confiscated it because he thinks I stole it. Why? I gave him no reason to suspect me of doing so. I was perfectly polite to him, I dress normal... Im not a teenager, I do not look like a criminal. And for no good reason he treats me like a thief? I argued with him a bit, got nowhere so I left shaking my head. Right now Im not even mad about not getting the return, because the stupid distance measurer has been lying around for a year anyway. What bothers me is that for no reason I get accused of stealing. Im a grown adult with a job, I do not steal. After I got home I looked online and found similar instances where different Menards stores have actually called the cops on customers over false accusations of stealing and fraud which backfired on them. What is wrong with their company? Ive never heard of these kinds of problems at Home Depot or Lowes and thats where Im going to go from this point on.

My car was damaged by lumber that they unloaded into the middle of the yard (right in front of my car). After I loaded my lumber, I pulled forward and went up and over a load of 2x4s left in the middle of the drive. It took a tow truck to lift me off and caused $1,300 in damage. They filed a claim with their insurance company who told me it was my fault. I contacted their offices to resolve but they blew me off. I filed a suit in my local small claims court. It took 6 months, patience and a $250 filing fee. I did it on my own without an attorney. They sent a high priced lawyer from their WI corporate office to fight the claim but my pictures and common sense paid off. I won and they had to pay my court costs. Menards will try to get away (and fight) anything. Taking them on like this might be the only way to get them to take responsibility. Good luck.

One of your lovely employees decided to try and run through a stop sign that is in your parking lot. Lucky he saw me in time to stop, but it was a really close call.... But... Here is the best part... HE GETS MAD AT ME!! Instead of going straight like he was going to; he decides to turn and ride my ass the rest of the way. I get to my intersection and stop because I see a car coming my way, and he decides to lay on his horn. He was a middle aged white bald guy wearing sun glasses driving one of your pick up trucks. Honestly, if he would have hit me I would not only sue him, but your company as well. You always represent the people/company you work for. So why is Menards allowing someone like that to work for them?

A lot of the staff is either rude or apathetic. Went to do a return and the woman was incredibly rude. Hard to find help. I dont shop there very often anymore. I didnt give them one because they have good prices, but most of there products are cheap junk. Menards used to be a great store. They have turned into the Walmart of the home improvement store.

be careful buying any high priced items at this store. because if you try to return it, chances are they will deny you and they might even take your item leaving you with nothing. security here is shady.

This is the largest Menards store Ive ever been to. The staff was super helpful and checking out was painless. The check out service was staffed with may lanes making leaving the store simple.

The service has improved dramatically. Though sometimes in their effort to please the customer theyll try to anticipate what you want and not focus on what youre really looking for.

Well kept store, things are always in place and well stocked. It be nice were it easier to find associates but thats becoming the norm these days I guess.

I like Menards. Its clean, smells manly, and have nice prices. Not sure how they compare to a Lowes or Home Depot, but Ive never had an issue with them.

When you place a special order. if you dont provide an email they will not call you when it arrives. It sits there until you call and check.
